Watch it and you realize the people deserve it.
My wife has a friend that would be perfect for the show. I've mentioned her before -- orders delivery from the fastfood literally next door, took a vacation to Florida and returned with literally $8 in the bank, paid rack rates instead of booking rooms online

Wait, are hotel rooms more expensive if you don't book before hand? It had never even occurred to me that you could do that
What kind of madwoman travels without booking rooms??? What if there's none available?

They just walked in and asked for a room the night of. Costs probably twice as much as booking it fifteen minutes prior on Priceline.
They also couldn't afford round-trip airfare so they rented a car to drive there, then flew back. And of course they rented the single worst vehicle for a 1,600 mile interstate drive, in both comfort and fuel economy:Jeep Wrangler

Realistically at any major destination/city outside of major events (like the superbowl or something idk) you'll be able to find a room.
But I do agree with you, seems like insanity to not book it beforehand. They can basically charge you whatever they want, they know you have to sleep somewhere. Not to mention the added stress and time you're spending, on your vacation, to try to find a place to sleep for the night.

Depending on season etc you might get cheaper rates. Like I'm staying rn in a room that was marked as 3.5k/night online, got it for 1.5k. Weekdays and I'm staying 4 days so owner gave a discount over the phone.

This guy just seems uneducated and abused. I don't know if the theatrics were necessary. Just send the kid to a personal finance class and therapy.

They have progressively gotten more mean spirited as time has gone on.
He tells them outright in the contract that the titles/thumbnails are going to shit all over them beforehand though, so the financial r-slurs had it coming.
