LitRPG Web fiction is where the easy side $$$ is unless you've got a way to automate your youtube content. This guy's blowing tens of hours per video if he's doing video essays.

This is the Patreon for Wandering Inn, notice the author hides the $ because she understands that her readers might feel offput if they knew her income.

Pirate is like the top earning webserial person by a huge margin, webserial patreon is just like youtube with 10 people making $10k a month and everyone else on poverty bucks.

And a huge reason pirateaba does so well is putting out 250k words per month, every month, for years. They're like the most prolific author in history after only ~10 years of writing the story.

The fastest growing patreon of all time is a porn game where you feed women until they become as obese as you like it. It went to something like 50k in a month. !coomers !ranchers

If it's not in a 3 hour video essay format I don't care to learn about it.

The only way I could make a 3 hours video about this is to film myself gooning for 2 hours and 59 minutes. There isn't much to it except naked obese women.

That's exactly why you won't be able to quit your job to rake in $26-27 a day in YT bucks.

Isn't Wandering Inn one of the most :marseywords: stories in the history of humanity?

:marseyshrug: I stopped reading at some point but I remember really liking the idea of the "Great Men" theory of history where the great men are irreplaceable because of intrinsic magic they have resulting in global stagnation because armies and empires are built on their magic and there aren't 1 to 1 replacements for them when they inevitably die.

That sounds like a really cool concept that couldn't survive contact with THE INDOMITABLE HUMAN SPIRIT

:marseycry: It did kinda seem to be heading that way when I dropped, one of the characters had stumbled into some running magic that wasn't tied to a system like everyone else or some bullshit

I'm not talking about magic, I'm talking about normal people harnessing the power of technology to render the individual wizards obsolete through the ultimate power of logistics and third+ generation warfare.

Basically the "harry potter should've carried a gun" copypasta, or GATE if it wasn't just a thinly veiled JSDF advert.

normal people harnessing the power of technology to render the individual wizards

It's not a "wizards with skills" thing it's more like "Emperor so and so has x, y, and z 'skills' born from his unique life's experiences that effect the entire empire, its people, its army, its food production" or "General Lizard guy gurilla warfared a giant ant invasion for months then held off a siege by a snowballed Necromancer so now he has 'skills' affecting the entire army that the lizard people military strategies are built around effective as long as he's personally on the battlefield."

All characters have 'skills' of one kind or another that societies inevitably orbit, the best take legendary deeds to acquire and are non-replicable, that's what made things stagnate.

And that sounds cool, but I'd also love to see how a giant ant invasion fared against, say, fireforce tactics or napalm bombs.

Unless they're gonna do an butt-pull like Solo Leveling and be like "oh monsters are totes immune to guns and stuff, and only weapons wielded by magic people can hurt them"

But I want this kind of industrial power: https://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/2013/25850439
