Hello, welcome to 'I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet gangstas again'
This hole exists as a safe space for refugees from the Facebook(MetaTM groups of the same name. Of which there have been several iterations. We mostly exist to poke fun at the state of living in poverty. While it oftentimes is unavoidable, we do aspire to not be meanspirited. Over the years we have co-opted the term 'Peak Poor' to being someone who exudes poverty, regardless of their actual net worth. Trump and Elon both exhibit the peak poor ethos from time to time while still being the top 0.000001%. You can do something peak poor and still be a good person or a generally adjusted one. We all have a bit of poor in us.
We basically fill a niche similar to fatpeoplehate with a bit less actual malice.
PeakPoor is shotgunning mountain dews at 5 years old.
PeakPoor is not people dying of poverty. While technically the greatest heights of poverty is succumbing to it this is not funny, and is a failure
of capitalism. We do not make fun of poverty to be mean spirited such as that.
Read the room, if it's punching down too hard or really digging into someone whos a sympathetic character it doesn't belong here. (basically READ THE ROOM)

This literally just happened for YouTube shorts. You used to be able to effectively monetized views twice by using music you get royalties from and then cut music pay by like 80% starting March 1st.
It's also sort of ish happening with longform. The meta has been to place ads manually every minute but YouTube just rolled out AI detection that invalidates manually placed midrolls if the AI thinks they are disruptive. I don't think that full goes into effect for a while but people I know are freaking over it lol.

If he's from some poorcel country it's probably OK. I think it's kind of worth a punt if he's still got growth and his growth is growing, and the job he's giving up is some shitty one he can just get back if things stagnate. If any of these things aren't true it's probably not worth the risk.

To be honest if he's pulling in $26 a day YouTube is I'll call it hard to grow and if you're at that point then maybe it could be something more for you because it means you got steady viewership and you're above a certain Channel size so quite possibly he should try to reduce the time he spends on other things and focus on being successful here.

I'm reading the comments, and where do these people live where they can reach basic savings thresholds making only $80 a day?
Even 7 days a week, you're looking at under $30k a year. Are they just barely breaking even every month after rent, groceries, and utilities? Obviously they're not saving for retirement, but $29,000 means you're not traveling, you're not going out much, you're not having kids, you can't repay debt, you have zero emergency fund… what a miserable experience.
Surely your hobby isn't taking up 40 hours and you can pick up a part time job to fill in the time. These morons are giving horrible advice.
