GayBC's Vote Compass test has dropped.

EDIT: it's literally just the classic political compass upside-down...

Seems about right. Though most of those questions need a button 'the whole basis of that system is fricked and needs to be completely redesigned'

And what's with the greens all the way over there on the economic left? Are Australian greens different or something? Usually they're somewhat economically liberal centrists with a hard stance on environment and idpol

rdrama leftoids in a nutshell. Somehow worse are the "fellow conservatives" who would unironically pick a Soviet style government over "shitlibs", never mind the Soviet Union promoting woke stuff since it's inception (and no, the Soviets position towards gays doesn't count, even in the 1980s the majority of westerners regarded homosexuality as a sexual deviance and a mental illness) plus gun ownership ban, no private property, no freedom of movement.

my social views and economics are almost equally as right wing, but I prefer to talk to statist social conservatives over progressive libertarians.

Today I'm going to ping free market over culture war nonsense

It's relevant because those cons engaged in culture war nonsense would ditch the free market because some "muh trains" shit.

The "left" economics greens believe in is usually made up stuff like rent and price controls and "just give people free money"

So like I thought, capitalism with some welfare state. Full left hand side should signify literal communism.

nod rly, it gets a bit r-slurred at the ends of that auth/lib axis, but otherwise the focus is to minimise economic leeching and exploitation and I vote for the usually still quite evil lesser evil party whoever's policies are in that direction.

the polcomp's biggest flaw is that it combines social conservatism with wanting a totalitarian govt (and vice versa, social progressivism with anarchy/liberty).

That's why most people get libleft, including a lot of cancel culture/tankie types. Because they're socially progressive, the test assumes they're not auth.

This is also why no one gets auth left. Because auth left would require you to be socially conservative with leftist econ (so a Strasserist, Nazbol or Sahra Wagenknecht type). Modern commies aren't socially conservative.

A better test is Sapplyvalues, which makes the Y axis ONLY auth/lib and adds a separate bar for socially con vs prog. On the Political Compass I get moderate auth right, but on Sapplyvalues I get slightly lib right with a conservative bar. Might make a post about other tests at another time.

economic leeching and exploitation

Like what exactly?

Born into money, have a bunch of power for no particular reason, use that power to leech wealth from productive members of society.

Born poor but lazy, pretend that you can't find work, receive weekly cheque from the government, paid for by productive members of society.

Both must suffer.

If they had their way, everything would be price-controlled, overregulated, or outright prohibited. They are globally the most r-slurred and unhinged political group because anything they do justifies their goal of "saving" the world.
