They think they're being cynical but they're just being r-slurred. Trump proved in 2016 that fundraising is important for getting noticed as a candidate, but once people start talking about you on social media you can build momentum from that. The Democrats (and probably the never-Trumper Republicans) are dinosaurs who think that lots of money lets you run lots of TV ads and that will let you win. Newsflash r-slurs: It's not our old boomer black-and-white movie times anymore. The vast majority of the advertising you're going to get is done for free on social media by ordinary people who support you.

I think a really crippling problem the Dems have now is that they're run by people in my generation who grew up and learned their trade at the time when the internet was starting to be important but TV and newspapers were still dominant. So they've learned all these skills about fundraising, getting out the vote, etc. that are just not relevant anymore. But they would rather cling on to their jobs than admit the world has changed. So you see these really insane self-defeating moves over and over again, like selling out to certain special interest groups: the homeless industrial complex, extremist environmentalists who aren't helping, BLM, rich predatory gays, parasitic unions like the Longshoremen, "green energy" scams. You'll get a little money but that money won't be enough to convince people who actually care about the homeless, the environment, racial equality, homo rights, labor unions, climate change, etc. to forget what a hypocrite you are.

What they really need to do, I've said this before and nothing has changed my mind, is put somebody like Snally is charge of the party. Somebody who understands how the world works today, how information is shared. I mean heck, it doesn't need to be a genius, we got easily 20+ people here I know of who are more qualified than the DNC just among our nonchuds. But it'll never happen. Politics is just a career for these people. They're perfectly happy to be the loyal opposition to King Trump as long as they get a job as a congressional staffer, thinktank thinker, campaign manager for campaigns that lose, grifter stealing from the homeless.

I mean ffs people, two generations before me men and women were real and they fought for their rights. This isn't Sailor Moon or My Little Pony, I knew these people. They actually existed. We can be like them again and live happy fulfilling lives if you just put your bongs down for 5 seconds and throw David Hogg back to selling makeup at Macy's where he belongs.
