You dodged a bullet, friend. I am sorry this happened, but you did the right thing to disclose. In the future, your partners should know vaccination is a good idea for them anyway because many other partners would have it and never know. Onward and upward to better partners for you!

HPV isn't even necessarily a STI, you can contract it from skin to skin contact, like holding hands. I am sorry that this ex partner is unwilling to be educated, their show of ignorance is probably a good indication of their inflexibility and in the long run you probably don't need that in your life. Still sucks though. I wonder if he has ever had a cold sore?

Can’t believe I had to scroll down to find this. There’s not a test for men and if it’s not a wart causing strain, there’s literally no way for him to know if he has it and gave it to HER. Jaysus. OP you dodged a bullet what an butt.

A quick scroll through OP’s post history indicates that she posts almost exclusively about medical problems. She has IBS, GERD/LPR, Lyme, mysterious pain, I have no idea, and of course, genital warts that she rages about for dozens of comments.

According to the WHO, approximately 50-60% of the U.S. population has oral herpes, it's just that most people don't know it because it's undetectable. I myself have oral herpes and I wouldn't even know if I hadn't specifically been tested after my divorce because I'm lucky enough to be almost completely non-symptomatic and non-transmissible - like once per decade I get the tiniest blemish that looks like a shaving cut, and disappears in a day or two. So if 50-60% of the population has herpes type 1, factor in all the other STDs and figure out how many adults have at least one. My guess is that it's somewhere between 90 - 95%.

When you consider how common this stuff is two conclusions become obvious:

Always wear a condom, no matter how much you trust your partner. I wore condoms even when I was married (and I had been with her for seven years) and I'm really glad I did, because it eventually came out that she was cheating on me. Narcissists are very good at lying, which is why I'm smart enough to mistrust my own instincts about whom to trust and take extra precautions to be safe.
Don't stigmatize people for STDs, because then they'll just lie to you about having them. I'd rather live in a world where everyone is honest about what STDs they have so that others can decide whether they want to take the risk rather than a world where people are hiding their STDs out of shame and then one day their partner gets an unpleasant surprise.

Impressive. Normally people with such severe developmental disabilities struggle to write much more than a sentence or two. He really has exceded our expectations for the writing portion. Sadly the coherency of his writing, along with his abilities in the social skills and reading portions, are far behind his peers with similar disabilities.
