I wore some leggings and a big grey hoodie, with no makeup and a ponytail. I got there first so just sat down and started scrolling on my phone, and I was looking forward to getting to know my date better.
Personally, I wouldn't go to a date in gym clothes unless it's a gym date! If a guy did that I would assume he doesn't put effort in his appearance and therefore would probably not go on a second date. This might be cultural but here gym clothes aren't really appropriate outside of the gym.

In my earlier and more optimistic days I'd still go on dates with chicks that seemed dtf but didn't have full-body pics. Felt horrible the first time I ended a date because she was a lot more unattractive in-person. Eventually I learned how to interpret deceptive angles but I've had no problem in the meantime getting there, seeing the chick and then texting her something came up as I'd hang out at a nearby bar instead.
