Was it just a translation of a different mod into Russian? Besides the standard vatnik behaviour, Russians actually did a very good translation of Morrowind back in the day. They tried to adhere to the linguistic principles of the cultures that inspired the Elder Scrolls races. As such, Cyrodiil was translated as Keerodiil, following proper Latin rules. A shame that just as everything Russian, the further their vidya translations got into the 21st century, the worse they would get.

That doesn’t work in this situation, because Russia lost Ukraine 30 years ago. If Chechnya tries to secede for the third time, maybe then we could draw such parallels. Ukraine is more akin to Hammerfell, since it already declared independence and doesn’t care about Mede Dynasty nonsense.
