Post your top 2 (or, if you really have to, 3) best games of last year. The only rule is they have to have been released in 2022 (there are actually no rules, I'm not a janny I can't delete your comments). You should also post the worst or most disappointing games of last year, the most overhyped meh games and stuff you didn't play but suspect it might be good.

Best: Splatoon 3, Total War: WARHAMMER III (after Immortal Empires released), RimWorld Biotech, Elden Ring, Cult of the Lamb, FAITH, Nobody Saves the World, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.
Worst: Total War: WARHAMMER III (before Immortal Empires released), The Callisto Protocol, Saints Row (the reboot), Ghostwire Tokyo, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Mario Strikers: Battle League.
Still haven't played a few games that prob would go on this list, such as XC:3 and Dwarf Fortress.
My absolute favorite was prob Stanley Parable (hot take, I know) and absolute worst has to be Switch Sports (what a huge disappointment).

I loved The Stanley Parable when the first remake came out (I also enjoyed the original mod) but now I know what the developers look and sound like and I can't help but see visions of their smarmy faces whenever I hear the dialogue. The Beginner's Guide also sucked a fat one.
I think it's a game that's aged very poorly as the relationship between developer and player has changed significantly. Overall it just feels really pleased with itself.
E: And don't even remind me about Dr. Langeskov or Accounting. Tedious retreads without a speck of the charm of the original.

Oh yeah, Beginner's Guide sucked. The original remake absolutely is a product of it's time and feels like an end cap to a certain way indie devs operated. I felt like Deluxe handled it's existence in about the best way possible, [Spoilers]: by being an absolute piss take of a sequel. The game doesn't even try and hide that the very idea of deluxe is stupid, and manages to not take itself too seriously most of the time. When the game does get serious, it pretty quickly goes back to being a comedy, unlike most indie "art" games that keep hammering home how "serious" the game is. In conclusion: bucket.

XC:3 is somewhat broken now on PC. Super annoying.

I have an old Switch, so I'm not too worried about that myself, that is a shame though.
