EU4, Forza horizon 5, darktide, cyberpunk 2077 and valorant, judge me based on my top 5 played games on steam:

>EU4

I've played like 2 full games vanilla and wanted to know if there are any DLCs worth getting? There's so much of them that I have no idea what adds what, and buying everything is ridiculously expensive

I have all of the DLC and in my opinion the top 3 most important (for all nations in the game) are:

1- Art Of War: Adds the Thirty Years War (religious league war), Army template (so you dont have to click every province individually to raise armies), Marches (Different type of vassal which has much stronger armies), and most importantly it adds the ability to transfer the occupation of provinces in war between you and your subjects and the ability to give war goals to your allies (meaning they are more helpful during wars). Also adds the revolution mechanic in the end game and revolutionary wars

2- Common Sense: Gives you the ability to develop your provinces which means you can do a different playstyle other than just conquering to make your nation stronger (you can now develop your already owned lands), also adds more abilities to the protestant religion.

3- Dharma/Cossacks/Cradle of Civilization: I would rate the all equally but it depends which nations you like to play the most, Dharma: Indian sub continent flavor and ability to upgrade your government. Cossacks: Used to be more important before estates became free but still adds more flavour to horde and steppe nations as well as more diplomacy options. Craddle of Civilization: Gives more flavor muslim nations and if you arent playing as muslims it adds army professionalism (You can drill your armies in peace time and make them more professional and stronger) as well as the ability to upgrade your advisors past level 3 (very useful in my opinion).

If you are looking for more nation specific DLC then for Colonizing (Spain, portugal, england etc.): Conquest of Paradise, Golden Century and Rule Britannia, for Orthodox christian Third Rome is very Useful and for Nordics Lions of The North is pretty cool too.

Thank you very much @duck, I had no idea it is possible to mount pirated DLCs to a steam game, will definitely look at that. ily :marseylove:
