Last thread I commented on how I got Guilty Gear on gamepass.
I tried the game out for a bit and decided to bite the bullet and buy it on steam. Fun game, nice visuals, cool soundtrack; I literally can't stop listening to May's theme someone help me please. Warning: listen at your peril, the song is extremely catchy and keeps echoing in my head after I finish playing.
I'm playing Giovanna. If the fact that she has a S+ booty, enormous tits, delicious brown skin AND is an off-duty cop led you to believe she's Brazilian, you'd be right. God I love Brazilian women (check out Laura from SFV too).
Now, i'm sure this isn't the most optimal combo but it was fun to do and felt pretty sick pulling that off a counter.

Anyway. Steam sale kicked off and I grabbed Granblue Fantasy Versus for R$ 7 ($1.33 lmao). I had already 'tried' the game out by downloading it from Fitgirl and playing with a buddy of mine on ParSec. The game is fun and pretty. Feels like it may be a good pickup for people that want to learn fighting game, as it is pretty simple. Also the game hit 1k concurrent players twice recently since the sales started, so you could say it's having kind of a resurgence. People probably want to get ready for GranBlue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
I'm seriously hoping Rising gains traction and is successful.

Got to ask is Strive your first Gear? Cuz as someone who grinded Xrd in preparation for Strive a few years back I was VERY disappointed by Strive, but also I feel like I should have just played release Nago or Sol instead of Millia; play a character who actually fits how Strive was designed instead of one who had her kneecaps removed and lead installed in her butt so she moves and falls like molasses. I'll consneed that I want Gio to bear my babies however.

Yes. And i'd say my first animefighter in general, I only played a little bit of GBVS before starting strive.
I heard a lot of complaints about Strive, how it's easier than xrd and shit, but most of that comes from /vg/ and that place is a cesspool, you can hardly take anything from there seriously
Can't really comment if Strive ruined GG or what.. but one thing they did right was make the game popular as heck and that is not a bad thing any way you twist it

Eh fair. But the the complaints are coming from me not /vg/ lol.
My problems pretty much come from how they put weights on my girl and made her win condition require actively working against the context of the game, especially lacking the key neutral tool she relied on in xrd while still dying to a stiff breeze. I managed to make celestial in Strive early on then dropped it after a hundred hours.
From loosely keeping up with the pro scene, I feel I was lucky to drop it before HC showed up.

Also some bad news, me and my friends won't be at iem cologne this year and even though I hoped '18 wouldn't be the last (the one navi won against big) one I'd attend, deep down I knew I would never go to another big cs tournament again .... it's so over (real)
As for vidya, I've started clearing my backlog of unplayed steam games and I'm now 'stuck' playing Pillars of Eternity and while it's too early to give an accurate review of the game, I think they went too hard on the world building and narrative. You're spammed with long pages of lore for things nobody cares about and there is so much flavour in everything that it ends up being meaningless, boring and ultimately uninteresting. I wish game developers would realize that having entire books filled with made-up words doesn't make the story of a game particularly interesting. Eventually, you just end up walking from place 1 to place 2, doing things you don't care about for people you don't care about as none of it seems to matter anyways.

is bullshit. How's that Dork Souls Has maybe 1 hour of recorded dialogues and average gaymer can figure out the overarching plot more or less, but Obsidianstrags can't write a succinct dialogue since mid 2000s.

Doing my Kuwait run for Crusader Kings 2. Going for that long run Charlemagne trophy. I figured just keeping my head down in the Abbasid Caliphate is the way to go.
I tried doing the tribal Bedouins in Nefoud, but they're pretty busted with their levies, though getting to hang with the Tengri warrior society bros was pretty fun.
Comparatively with Kuwait I'm rolling in cash, so I'm hoping for a pretty smooth ride to some 'cheevs.

Big Ambitions. It really scratches that management sim itch for me. And even if it’s jank as heck I fricking love driving around ignoring stop lights and driving in the wrong lane to get around slow drivers. Lets me release the pent up road rage I have. Slower paced to D3 on leveling and getting skills in the beginning. I played as a sorcerer and some skills just suck until you get an armor piece for it. The public events are fine. Sometimes I play with others, but I mainly cleared them by myself. Maybe I’ll preorder it as it gets close to launch but so far it’s been enjoyable.

I started Tyranny. I like it as a CRPG, not as much as I like the 3.x/Pathfinder Style CRPGs but its good. You're evil but you aren't a puppy kicking moron. There's a party member called the Siren or Canary iirc that explores him a bit. If you're perception is high you notice him mentally talking to himself and his troops. He's a literal schizo induced by how interrogates people with his magic. A cool concept although I prefer the general guy a bit more.

I've been playing Microsoft Flight Simulator and Ultimate Racing 2D 2. I'm such a sucker for top-down racing games and this one is excellent, especially in terms of customization options.
MSFS is neat and looks great, but it's mostly just an excuse for me to bust out my HOTAS. I wish there was a Truck Simulator style mission/management layer.
Oh shit, and I forgot all the PlayStation games I've been playing. I finished Spyro the Dragon this week, and I've been chipping away at Gran Turismo 2 for a while now.

Oh, I wouldn't really know how MSFS stacks up against other flight sims; I'm a pretty casual player. In fact, it's the first civilian flight sim I've played since the early 2000s. I got my flight stick to play X4 Foundations. Ironically, I think an Xbox controller might be a better bet for that game... but I wouldn't know because like 4 years after release, I still haven't started it in earnest...
What I do know is that the presentation in MSFS is absolutely awesome. The cloud and weather effects are amazing and the detail of the terrain is incredible. I found my house! And then crashed into the local supermarket. It's great for sightseeing.
There's a whole bunch of planes to choose from too, even in the poorcel basic version I have. Having said that, I've only really played with little propeller planes - my main squeeze is the Beechcraft Bonanza G36.
Again, I don't know how realistic the flight model is since I don't really have a point of comparison - the last two flight sims I played were Lock On (which I SUCKED at) and Combat Flight Simulator 3. But it feels good in my unqualified opinion, I guess? I have all the realism options cranked all the way up, and I like playing with all the switches and dials in the planes. I like the Bonanza so much is because it's like a flying car. You feel so tiny in giant international airports.
The one thing I really don't like is how it just fades to black if you frick up, instead of giving you a satisfying explosion or helpless tumble to the ground.
One thing I'd like to do but apparently can't is turn the pedals on my racing wheel to rudder pedals. Ah well.
