Starfield has arrived. I think I spent more time on the character creator than playing the game the first day of release. You can make some vile demons with how granular it is. I didn't play Fallout 4, so this seems like a huge step up in twch from Skyrim. Very much enjoying it.

Which is a shame cause I love mecha, but the scale of everything makes it feel like I'm playing as a slightly large robot rather than a mech, so maybe that's it.

Playing some Kingdom Come: Deliverance while I recover from surgery
I initially wrote the game off after trying it few years ago, but it's been improved drastically IMO. Apart from the 4 hour intro consisting of 99% cutscenes (
), the game has great and genuinely immersive systems with a progression system that actually makes sense. This isn't some starfield shit where, day 1 of being a poor miner on a planet, you are awarded a ship, control of a faction, and an adoring fan just for touching a rock. In KC:D you start as a peasant blacksmith's son and have to work your way up to owning your own sword, plate armor, horse, land, and eventually an entire town while not starving or dying by dysentery, wolves, or cumans 
Other stuff I've been playing is Binding of Isaac, Trepang2 (which I'm planning on making a 'pseudo-obscure-game' shilling post about),
and Vintage Story, (which I am required to shill for constantly because Tyron refuses to advertise or put it on steam
)
which I might end up making a server for dramatards to play on... I'm sure the neurotypicucks on this site would rather play unmodded minecraft though

If you like turn-based stuff BATTLETECH is great
MechWarrior 3 and 4 are worth checking out but a bit 'dumbed down' from 2 and very difficult to get running on modern OSes
MechWarrior 5 is disappointing but highly moddable and controls well

Man the more I read about starfield the worse it seems, apparently all of space travel is basically a fast travel menu, in fact planets are just jpeg images in the sense that you cannot even physically travel to them just 2d images on black space and can only be interacted via a menu and fast travel.
Also all planets are just made with shitty proc gen but its not even actually random and they have done 1:1 copy pasting between planets with even enemy positions and loot matching 1:1.....
Just gonna get bg3 once more patches are out like i did with dos2 or give cyberpunk a try after expansion release depending on reviews.

I'm working my way through act 3 since the patch helped with my computers performance quite a bit. All the posters saying that Act 3 was rushed or not well thought out clearly just rushed through and didn't check anything. Don't get me wrong, there are still some janky parts but there's so much to do and so many notes spelling things out clearly.

You also get locked out of most romances if you don't bang someone at the act 1 goblin after party (except for Gale and Karlach I think, cause Gale is trad and Karlach is on fire).
