Dwarf fortress

Total Warhammer3, campaign as dwarves because I need that dwarf combat itch scratched.

and just got BG3 finally. It's aight. Might make a dworf squad and kill all the companions.

Got back into DarkTide since the update dropped earlier this week. Huge improvement, the new skill trees are way better and there are actually multiple fun and viable builds for every class now.

Darkest Dungeon II

Still a good game but besides artwork production values it does not surpass the first

They simplified and discretized combat, much RNG is removed detrimentally in my opinion. In the first game your hero had a X% dodge stat, you might use one skill to buff dodge +Y% for 3 turns and stack another to additionally buff dodge +Z% for 4 turns. Now your hero has no dodge stat, if you use a skill to buff dodge your hero gets a "dodge" token that is consumed when attacked and gives a 50% chance of dodge. Stacking just gives you another token to use for another attack. Feels like they wanted it to be practically playable as a board or card game.

The mechanism of spending special points between runs to unlock items/upgrades. which I think is considered "roguelike" though none of the OG roguelikes did this, is getting tiresome for me

A lot of elements from the first just seemed weaker. The light mechanic was much less of a factor. The first one did a rare thing for me of making inventory management interesting with the 16 slots + stack limits. I had to make choices between useful alternatives all the time, like can I risk throwing out these bandages to hold a little more treasure. In the second one I would hit the inventory limit and almost always just go in and throw out crap that I clearly didn't need.

It was interestingly themed around memory, it would make sense for me if the entire thing was a demented psychotic delusion of your character

Got back into planetside 2 and man it's a shame that it's still held back by the same fricking flaws it has had since 2016.

Darktide is now to the point where it should have released at and it's decent fun. Even if you're a poorcel like me and average 50 fps.

I am playing the Resident Evil 1 Remake, the old butt one, for SPOOPtober

I also finished the Resident Evil 4 Remake DLC, Separate Ways, which I thought was really fricking good (especially for only 10 bucks)

Never played the RE1 remake before, and I had so much fun with the other one that I thought frick it

Replaying Hitman Contracts. It's still my fav in the franchise tho Codename 47 takes the spot sometimes depending on my mood.

Silent Hill 1.

I'm expecting disappointment in the story department compared to the sequel ( which is OK as most things are disappointing when compared to Silent Hill 2 ) but the gameplay is still compelling - if a little clunkier - and I'm really liking the low-poly low-res 3D.

Silent Hill 1 has an edge over 2 though. Even in the small part I've played, it's much scarier. 2's biggest flaw was that it wasn't that scary.

Witcher 2. Holy frick this game holds up well to this day

Disregarding drama around it, I just kinda find it boring

However the worst for me is the stuff in the uboat, especially shooting levels there.

Anno1800 with all the DLC. I'm a whore for colony and city games.

I've kinda been getting back into Binding of Isaac recently. Cant stay away from rougelikes. Plus they promised a void rework and actual multiplayer soon!
