Quick recap for all you filthy normies and tourists.
Fallout TV show came out last week. (It's good actually! ). According to Bethesda it's fully canon in the fallout universe.
But uh oh! The neurodivergents (me ) got mad because the show heavily implied that a location (NCR Capital in Shady Sands) that is important to the events of Fallout: New Vegas was destroyed in the year 2277. But Fallout New Vegas doesn't happen until 2281. (Again
)If true this means that the events of Fallout New Vegas could not have occurred as they are depicted in the game.
But it's all good, Todd the God came out today in an interview and established that the location was destroyed after the events of New Vegas; thus the timeline is restored.

I want to point out that this isnt clarification to save New Vegas from being de-canonized, because it's pretty clear it was done initially to wipe NV from canon and give them their own slate for it.
The reason they're doing it like this is because they forgot that a character in FO4 mentions the NCR elections in passing, and thus their initial canon nuke also de-canonized FO4.

This seems spiteful for no apparent reason. Haven't watched the show yet but what NV plot points do they have to retcon so badly that they would risk upsetting a famously-neurodivergent fanbase?
My problem with the retcon is just it makes the Fallout universe seem fundamentally silly and doomed. "No matter what happens in the story, we will just blow up a bunch of nukes to reset things whenever we feel like."

Maybe if you forget you're talking about Bethesda, they never got over being mogged by New Vegas
