It probably would have sold better but I still doubt it would've been that popular. It's still a full $40 game when most of its competitors are free to play, and it has as far as I know nothing to actually make it worth that. It's also a new IP so it doesn't have a ton of existing fans, like D4 would have been a massive flop charging $70 for that game (plus paid expansions and paid season passes) except it was "saved" by the fact that there are already a ton of Diablo fans who were gonna buy it anyways.

Well when overwatch first came out it was 40/60 dollars. It competed against Battleborn(dead), Brink(dead), and TF2 that I could think of when it first came out. Then a year or two later it competed against Law Breakers(dead), Paladins, Gigantic(dead) and Fortnite (F2P). Then a year later Apex Legends(F2P) came out.
If Concord was good it would find a niche. The reason it failed was because it has talented artist who made ugly designs so it looks extra ugly and wanting to be a cool hero is pretty important in a hero shooter. The gameplay is shit compared to it's competitors and it's made by the most leftist leftover developers of Destiny 2. They can make nice settings and animation but they make r-slurred gameplay choices, and have no idea what they are doing when it comes to PvP.

There's a massive gap in the western gaming market for attractive characters that western devs are too cucked or scared to fill. So the Koreans have stepped up recently in the western market.
