I was watching something on Skyrim not too long ago and it's crazy how we thought those graphics were so amazing and now I can't even play it they are so bad.

u'd be basically ensuring it sucks, cause the chance of randomly hiring people who can do much better on an environment/ip vs the devs that have decades of experience on it, is basically nil.

They replace all the old guard writers with progressive and modern writers that want to turn all the characters black gay or trans, and make the central narrative be about Sheogorath's gay and tempestuous breakup with Molag Bal.

I really like Pillars 1 and 2 and have heard great things about Tyranny, but I have really low expectations for Avowed. Fallout NV is only good in comparison to the Bethesda fallout games, and The Outer Worlds was outrageously bad and anyone who claims otherwise is likely r-slurred.

The main reason I believe is twofold. Firstly, old Elder Scrolls fans always hated Skyrim, FO4, Starfield, and the newer games, because they sucked compared to previous titles. The new fans liked Skyrim because, for most, it was their first RPG, or at least their first good one, and so its crumminess was overlooked because the concept was so novel. They still keep this sentiment though because it was their first RPG, and your first time in anything will be remembered the best. But as they play more RPGs they develop a taste of what is good and what is bad, so when the next Bethesda turd pops out they get the taste that the Morrowind or Oblivion nerds got when Skyrim came out. I like Skyrim and even go back every year or two for a little trip down memory lane, but every time I feel like it was a waste of time because of how bad it is.

I think a survival mode with fuel consumption/reserves, limited save function and no fast travel on foot would be neat.

Survival mode in FO4 had this cool feature where you'd do like 1% more damage for every enemy you killed and it stacked up to 50% - went back to 0% when you sleep/save. Created a whole new risk/reward dynamic and made setting up little outposts a key game component.

Limiting the player forces them to utilize more of the game; when there is no need to utilize game mechanics, they end up just going to waste. I feel like this game has tons of shit in it which serves no practical function, as-is.
