I would say not really, there are still plenty of the "pro-unifications" who would not settle for anything less than a democratic China. There are also who gave up and just want to keep Taiwan democratic. At these point, there are not a lot of difference between these two positions since there is no way to reconquer the Mainland.
DPP has made some leeway into those people because KMT has become much more friendly to CCP.
