My favorite thing about the current year gaming change is that gaming studios appear to be bringing actual crowds back into games so it actually feels like you are fighting a group instead of 4 characters on screen at a time shitshow that the ps4 and half of ps5 era felt like.

The concern I saw people raise was that a GPU wouldn't be that much more performant at doing occasional projectile collision checks than a CPU. Not to say there aren't ways to do that kind of check in parallel, because obviously you can, but more that it's not the kind or scale of parallel problem that GPUs are designed around handling. I'm not sure how much I buy into this though since I've seen compelling examples of offloading game logic to GPUs for processing to great effect.

Neighbor graphics are always a bonus and you want everything in your environment to feel like it is grounded in the same reality. Different quality assets strung together break immersion. Other than that I have found that more cartoony games are better in terms of gameplay because characters can move and flow faster and more naturally in appearance.
