The problem with teaching abstinance is that it's the equivalent of introducing everyday classes in society that have the final lessons as the easiest way to not be an alcoholic is to not drink alcohol. You aren't wrong but now that I have given a comparable example without the political touchiness you realize how r-slurred a message that is.
