Johnny Somali, real name Ramsey Khalid Ismael, was reportedly fined 200,000 yen by the Osaka District Court for filming and streaming while playing loud music at a restaurant in Dotonbori, Osaka.
While the streamer partially denied the charges after claiming that he did not intentionally play the audio, the prosecutors felt that appropriate punishment was necessary based on the βacts of nuisance' he posted on the Internet.
βI regret the situation, and I would like to apologize,β said Khalid in his final statement. βI have made it clear that I will no longer record or distribute videos of any kind. I swear.β
Johnny Somali was also arrested on suspicion of trespassing at a construction site, but he has yet to be prosecuted for the case.
