Its probably a sock puppet account. There's clearly a huge astroturfing campaign to do this. There were daily new stories and front page posts about how awesome bluesky was with the same exact script repeated in all the comments like a marketing pitch. There was massive growth after the election but it flatlined immediately after a week or so. So this is the second big push to mainstream it.

The actual only thing I use Reddit proper for now is keeping up with some sports news casually because it is/was always the best aggregator. I will pop on my desktop a few times a week, see what's going on in NFL and NHL, and my teams sub, then close the tab and ignore the r-slurred commenters.
Other than clicking links here to laugh and that niche Reddit use case I have totally removed social media and shit is so much nicer. On the flip side, Reddit and Twitter are still the best aggregators for news I'm interested in and finding new sources.
Second use case of Reddit is clicking a Google link for a weird tech issue looking for a solution.
This would actually be something that begins TRD so I support it. Go back to old forums without power
