Can someone please explain why the left thinks 1/6 was far worse then the BLM riots

The Capitol is one of the symbols of the American ethos. When one of the most important sacred sites of American democracy is under attack, by people who don't respect the results of that democracy, because the online brainworms ate their brain, and don't even realize what they are even doing, it feels like a much bigger tragedy, even if by numbers that other one caused more direct harm.

Just in the first week I saw on stream like 20 people die. A lot of them were self inflicted like that kid that got smeared under a truck.

The furry, the bar owner (him and the guy he killed, suicided after), the MLP katana nerd, a few trumpers assassinated by gunshot, the guy who is basically braindead due to the statue that hit his head, smear truck boy, several dead babies in section 8 housing that got burned down, 16+ dead cops, a few BLM people shot who were shooting the cops, the rittenhouse deaths, one guy set himself on fire on accident while burning down a church, blm dragged two national guard guys out of humvees and executed them, one guy fell off a bridge and drowned, a queer kid had his hand blown off with a flash grenade, some gangbangers killed a teen with a maga hat, a boogaloo type guy got killed by blm after he shot at them, the BLM guys that shot themselves with guns on accident there was at least 3 of those.

That's all I can remember right now but just google BLM riot deaths for more examples. In just the USA alone it was probably less than 100 but not less than 50.

It was at the Capitol, that's the hallowed symbol of muh democracy. Politicians were in danger instead of ordinary people.

To an extent, they're being judged for what they imagined could happen (spontaneous Trump revolution) instead of what they actually did, which was tamer than many big city BLM nights.

In terms of the individual criminal activities committed, the BLM riots were far worse than 1/6. I think that BLM rioters deserve far more punishment and jail time than the 1/6 protesters.

As far as the overall potential for destruction, 1/6 was worse because we almost lost the nuclear football. And we know for a fact that there were foreign agents in the crowd who would have been very happy to grab it.

That's not the fault of the 1/6 protesters though, that's Trump's fault. The 1/6 protesters thought they were doing the right thing, just like the BLM rioters thought they were doing the right thing. And in terms of actual laws broken, the 1/6 rioters were much better behaved. Trump was the one who should have known better.

But Leftists are too pathetic and ineffectual to take down Trump, so instead they're going after relatively innocent American citizens, because that's what bullies always do - when they're too scared to hit up, they hit down. I hope that the next Republican administration treats BLM protesters with just as much cruelty and malice as the current administration is treating 1/6 protesters. Maybe the other side will see how evil and disgusting their abuse of power is when it gets directed at their own supporters for a change.
