Even if increased sexual promiscuity from women leads to more s*x overall, you're assuming that s*x is evenly distributed. Without the limiting factor of people pairing off and taking each other out of the available pool, one male is able to monopolize multiple females, leaving a large number of excess males. This is why societies throughout history have had to strictly enforce monogamy and/or find ways to cull excess males to maintain stability.

After seeing what those goblins actually look like and reading their written thoughts, I actually believe that they are so physically, mentally, emotionally, and interpersonally hideous that they will never get s*x or be loved.

If s*x is only allowed in long-term relationships, the 1:1 gender ratio means everyone is paired off. Casual s*x lets multiple women frick the same hot guy on different nights (or the same night if he's ), vs one of them marrying him and the others having to settle for uggos.

Patriarchies take this logic and go even further, e.g. not allowing women to get jobs, forcing them to marry even if the available guys are repulsive. Or making them male property so they don't get a choice. It all comes down to the fact no women would voluntarily choose to frick these walking genetic failures, so they fall back on social coercion.
