Speaking of languages, it's time to halt starting any new projects in C/C++ and use Rust for those scenarios where a non-GC language is required. For the sake of security and reliability. the industry should declare those languages as deprecated.

Hello, I am soliciting career advice . I went to college but I dropped out . After working some odd jobs , I got a bunch of IT certifications during COVID and started working in help desk. After working there for a while, I gravitated towards making scripts in python/powershell to automate repetitive tasks. I decided that I liked developing scripts better than resetting an office boomers PC, so I'm thinking of improving my skills in coding so that I can move from help desk into a different tech field. Additionally, I would also like to use the skills to do personal projects. To help with that, I'm thinking of going back to college to grind out the remaining credits I would need for a computer science degree, since I feel like the degree would financially benefit me no matter which field I go to. However, I'm not sure if finishing the computer science degree would be optimal, since it would require money and time to finish. Is this the best option for me or are there other ways to break into development/ tech. I know bootcamps are an option but I'm not necessarily interested in developing websites. Any advice would be good. Thanks!

As you know you often need 2x times the space to download a game on ps os. Because downloading in smaller packages and sorting them at same time is no no. So I was downloading a 55gb game and had like 80gb free space and the game would let you play the first chapter of it when the 20gb of the game is downloaded so I started the game and instantly got a wired butt error that basically says not enough free space because PlayStation assumes that it still needs to download 55gb instead of 35gb so I need to free some space despite having 60gb free space.
Sony os is legit somehow a lot worse than nintendos

BE ADVISED THE FOLLOWING IS NOT ETHICAL.
It's not unethical, either, it's just braindead stupid.
The Startup Mentality which popularized social media is pretty simple and you should learn it if you want to
MAKE MARSEY A SUPERSTAR
More impressions is more impressions. More. More is more. How is more? Do more.
This means: retweets on rdrama's twitter. Sharing posts from /h/museumofdrama that make the place look cool to fediverse instances.
MORE.
Suck them in. They look. They see a cat. They see an anorexic girl. Is it a sexualization of anorexia? Does it make this place look truly countercultural for those who read deeply enough into the irony? (I think so, but jesus @carpathianflorist you went there and as much as I don't respect you, I respect you.)
MAP THE TABOOS.
QUEER THE BOUNDARIES.
More impressions means more. More is more. More.
Fly, my pretties, into the fediverse, and BRING IT TO BEHOLD, AS IN DARSAN, THE CAT GOD MARSEY.

For me, it's the BRAVE BROWSER. The best internet browser. I even download the BRAVE BROWSER on my phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop because the BRAVE BROWSER DEVELOPMENT TEAM is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for 3 ads to be blocked and they blocked three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly BRAVE worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the BRAVE BROWSER greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS blocks every ad, cookie, and tracker. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere with my BRAVE BROWSER, I use it at least 7 times a week for my daily browsing needs which include work, pornography, school, and stalking my whore ex wife on facebook.
I even use my BRAVE BROWSER to browse rdrama, it's amazing! What a great BRAVE BROWSER

TL;DR on the Sokal Hoax is some chads submitted bogus nonsense papers to social science journals and they got published (there's zero academic rigor) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sokal_affair
I'm curious how hard / possible it would be to generate these with a ML tool and automating the submission process. the challenging part being any human follow up but I'm curious what could be done here.

As the drama continues, and a based new fork was made, which really makes the Pale Moon developers seethe,, Moonchild writes a new manifesto, proclaiming he would make developing forks harder for everyone, due to "mob rule".
After Moonchild’s message, coincidentally, it turns out the latest version is placed into a login wall,, which eventually takes the Drama all the way to Reddit. Moonchild denies that he violated the MPL
However, it turns out to only be a temporary glitch, but one of the instigators, JustOff, is still not satisfied, leading to a mild, boring slapfight between another developer.
I know, boring continuation of prior drama, but entertaining rants are to still be found.

I tried neeva once and they seemed cool.
Ex-Google ad boss builds tracker-free search engine
An advert- and tracker-free search engine launches in the UK, France and Germany on Thursday.
Neeva has 600,000 users in the US, where it launched last year.
Creator Sridhar Ramaswamy, who worked at Google for 16 years and ran its ad business, told BBC News the technology sector had become "exploitative" of people's data, something he no longer wanted to be a part of.
Trying out Neeva Search the word "migraine" on both Google and Neeva, and the first page of the results are fairly similar - links to news articles and factual information.
But while Google follows with a map, social-media feeds and links to used-car dealers, Neeva sticks with different BMW official pages.
"The ultimate goal is to offer an alternative for the consumer base who are worried about their privacy, who don't want Google hoovering up their data and targeting ads based on their search history".
