i really don't get it. what's the point of dating when you're like 50?

A career women is vastly less likely to be crazy or toxic. They have matured, are trustworthy and can handle responsibilities and have overcome challenges. They should be an immediate green flag. I think men on here are saying it’s not a requirement and I agree. However, having an intelligent partner is way cooler.

It bothers me that women don't understand that having a good career doesnt raise their stock because they aren't seen as providers (the exact reason it does for men).

Women who go to Reddit for dating advice are pathetic since Reddit isn't designed to give truthful advice to stuff like this, only emotional validation. If your problem is that you need to quit Onlyfans and get some makeup advice, nobody on Reddit will tell you this (or if they do, it'll be heavily downmarseyd). Instead, their advice will be more like how hecking valid you are and how you just have to be yourself and the right person will eventually come along. And to be honest, it's such a darning critique of the foid condition that most of them would rather have this kind of useless narcissistic affirmation rather than actual useful advice that could help them become their best selves.

I'm sure all Drama foids are already smart enough to know this, but if you're on a dating site, you need to at least be hot enough to bang before men start giving even the tiniest shit about the details of your personal life. You could be a great friend with many professional accomplishments and a hilarious personality, but I don't care, because I'm not really looking for friends on a dating site. That's what social events like Meetup are for. On a dating site I'm looking for people I would be willing to stick my peepee into. Once people meet that bare minimum requirement then I start filtering by personality and accomplishments, but I'm not gonna like suddenly find Madonna attractive just because she's a very talented career woman.

the girls that have been the most difficult for me to date & hang out with were highly educated, driven, ambitious, etc.. one held a phd in chemistry and was back in school for programming. i found it interesting but my brain was at 11/10 trying to keep up with her when she was at idle, did not work out. much prefer dating a girl that's not career driven.
