Maybe the catholics and orthodox should send me DC and whoever sends the most gets their version of the deuterocanonical books added?

13 Once again Jesus went out beside the lake. A large crowd came to him, and he began to teach them. 14 As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector's booth. “Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.

15 While Jesus was having dinner at Levi's house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Always remember that we all stand as sinners before Christ, and need His divine forgiveness to be cleansed of our sins and blessed!

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 [a]But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your [b]brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the [c]tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

God bless all of you! I hope you had a good week and a good Sunday!

This week my pastor gave a somewhat confusing sermon in his series on Exodus where he talked about the precision with which God executed the plagues and how they showed his command over all the elements (as compared with pagan gods who would only control one thing) but he was SUPPOSED to (at least he said he would last week) tie things into God's loving nature and how they ultimately proceeded from that and he didn't really connect that dot, at least as far as I understood.

But where understanding fails faith sees us through! What did your church talk about this week, and what did you think of it?

If you have something you'd like me or anyone else to pray for, say so here! And I'll pray for you and maybe other people will pray for you too. If you want to pray for someone with a prayer request, go for it!
