Just trying to work on my castle and my neurodivergent butt decided that the courtyard needs those blue mushroom tree things that you can only find in the nether and it's been the shits. The nether portal dropped me in the middle of soul sand and a skeleton spawn that's on a cliff over lava, and these stupid ghasts won't stop spawning over my head.

I played Psychonauts 2 and it was moderately fun. I like those kind of story-driven third person platformers although I play very few of them. They're better than strategy or puzzle games for like me. Saying that, I do sometimes enjoy puzzle games.

Finally started playing BOTW on cemu. It's pretty fun. Had to use my phone for the shrines that require motion controls.

Is that new vegas dialoge actually real or is it a mod?

Oh if you Civ VI I got a gang of people you'd like to know. It's a pretty fun game, and we could always use one more.

Those Fallout 3 memes are fricking KINO

I've been playing a lot of Xbox games for cheevos, alternating between them. Fallout 3 is one of them because I want to finally finish the achievements. Dunno if anyone here is familiar with Oddworld but I'm also playing Stranger's Wrath.

I also bought a collection of arcade games for a few dollars. All these years and I never knew the Pac-Man ghosts have preset routes that depend on what moves you make.

Anyway, I've been playing Gothic for the first time. I'm still on the first chapter, but it's been pretty good so far. The workshop support is nice, too, the game plays very well using zGamepad.

Warhammer total war 3 campaign with some friends. It's so much worse than older total wars but still fun.

I've just finished max payne 2 for the first time (played before but never actually finished).

Wanted to do it before playing the 3rd one... so I'll be playing that one.

Heart attacks ruined the game. It's bad enough that healing is shit and negative afflictions take away control from your character. It doesn't need an instakill mechanic

Finally got around to playing Max Payne 3, it's definitely up there with the best games I've ever played and puts the series as a whole as my favourite. The first 2 are hardly cheery experiences but 3 is insanely bleak, the level in the condemned hotel especially.

I've been looking for a game to play with 3-5 friends (with, not against), and after exhausting DRG we're gonna try PUBG (again). I gave it a couple hours this week but I'm getting my butt kicked six ways from Sunday so I don't know if it's gonna work... I don't know if running around picking stuff up for 30 minutes then getting oneshot by a guy with 6000 hours in the game is going to be all that fun, and at this point there isn't much chance I'm gonna git gud, never mind the other people who play even less.

Tried giving minecraft a try after seeing some zoomer online making some interesting shit, but it just ain't the same. I feel like mojang are killing the game with these meaningless updates that seem fun on paper but in reality take like 10 minutes to rush through and never return back to because there are better options available.

To me it almost seems like minecraft is a game that is more fun to watch than to play

Finishing the Oblivion leg of my pilgrimage. For all its flaws with the levelling system and the generic fantasy tone, it still does a lot of things right. Since this is the game that started the radiant AI meme, it utilises it the most of our any Bethesda games. The behaviour and the schedules of NPCs are truly remarkable for how much they are trying to simulate a living world. Multiple characters can travel from one city to another on a monthly basis for either work or pleasure and some of them are even quest-related, so you have to learn of their plans in order to know where to search for them. One big discovery for me was that the Bravil mages guild “Ayleid Expert” who tells you of a nearby ruin actually visits it twice a month for research. He is not connected to any quest and there is no reason for you to visit that ruin besides the loot, and yet the designers at Bethesda still gave that schedule to the NPC for him (and by extension the whole game world) to feel real and purposeful.

It's a bit sad that Bethesda scaled back from these systems in future games, although the possibility of things breaking and important characters dying to wolves or bandits on the roads was too much of a hassle for the devs to figure out. As it stands, Oblivion is the most ambitious simulation of a world by Bethesda in a handcrafted environment.

On the topic of your images - which are quite funny in an ironic way - I still don't get the animosity between FO3 and NV fanbases. It feels like I am a minority that likes both of the games. Not equally, as you could probably gather from my username, but I still consider Fallout 3 a good game, both as an rpg and as a Fallout game.
