Rumor is Kart World is actually the most expensive Nintendo game ever, now I see why, they injected everything with SOVL

>There's 84 characters (estimated) before dlc

>Characters are remodeled and dance

>Open world

>All maps tracks and interconnected

>Parkour mechanics

>all mechanics from previous games

>probably an entirely new engine

>Seamless 24 player online gauntlet modes

>all this before the dedicated kart direct that will probably reveal twice as much stuff

Ngl, kinda want a switch 2 to flex on normies, they're pulling me in

Nintendo is the one company I do not mind spending a premium on. I cannot remember them ever truly disappointing me

Nintendo Online used to be free and then they made it a paid "service" which is one of the moments when I was pretty disapointed with Nintendo since, as you said, there's a premium.

Getting nickel and dimed shouldn't be part of a "premium".

Otherwise I agree.

>Pay monthly fee to ISP for internet

>Pay yearly fee to game company to use internet you're already paying for

>This is ok because its not a lot

Imagine how r-slurred it would be if every PC game launcher made you pay a subscription to play online through their service.

You can still use the Internet with your console without paying. What you're paying for is access to the console maker's online play infrastructure. At a certain point I'm just paying for the virtual console since I don't really play any games online.
