Twitter is so weird because I've never met people with these personalities in real life. Redditors exist in real life and you can spot them, but Twitter users erupting in their boring unfunny takes about tiny issues just isn't something I see.

I've met them in real life and under normal circumstances they don't talk about their online sneeding, unless maybe they are an old person or a super sperg with no fricks to give. They just pull out their phone and have a "heh" face or a face of disgust and annoyance as they tap out tweets in the corner.
In college a lot of them were the very quiet people that were also boring and not particularly kind, some of which put effort into pretending to be quirky.

I work with a Twitter personality actually, it’s pretty bizarre. Pick any topic of conversation and she can make it into some weird political thing.
My coworker was talking about the World Cup and she said she picks who to cheer for based on which team are colonists vs victims of colonization. Once I asked her how the weather was in her state and she started telling me about how great it is to live around so many rich black people. Pretty much everything she says the only answer I can come up with is “oh, okay”.
It’s exhausting having to sanitize everything I say before I open my mouth too. She gets triggered by the weirdest things, and she isn’t shy about telling us about it. “Oh actually I find that phrase very triggering because <some past traumatic event>.”
I think the weirdest thing though is that she always assumes you feel the same way about things. I guess that’s what the internet does to you.
