I think there is a significant underestimation of Biden's arming Israel as a HUGE factor. His hug of Netanyahu made me shudder. Sometimes the best way to support a country isn't to cheer and arm them into a devastating war. (btw I am not Jewish, but my father is. I was raised Catholic and am not at all religious, given how awful that religion is). I have never been a supporter of Israel's behavior toward Palestinians and I think blind support for Israel was a massive (and is a massive) error. Muslims voted (leopards eat my face!) for Trump or stayed home. Young people likely as well. I support the International Criminal Court arrest warrants for Netanyahu. I DO NOT support Hamas either. This is a war of evil people versus peace-loving people on both sides. We mistake supporting the evil war-loving people for supporting Israel. Biden made a huge mistake. (-6)

The Republicans spent 4 decades building a (dis)information infrastructure that they finely tuned over the years. They have a tremendous advantage in their ability to spread their selected narrative across multiple sources, and they have essentially perfected the recipe for making low information voters feel angry and afraid. (These narratives are often false - Kamala and Joe had no more to do with inflation than Trump did, and immigrants are less violent than citizens and don't actually eat pets). These tactics work very well against an incumbent, when it's easy to blame them (fairly or not) for everything that makes low information voters anxious and mad. Their story of high prices, immigrant crime waves, and trans people grooming your kids was shown to have penetrated deeply and influenced voting. Some of these NYT panelists back that up. The democrats need to learn to use propaganda better and chip away at the disinformation disadvantage. Being unwilling to lie and alway... (0)

To me, the Democratic Party was dismissive of people who are concerned about these topics.Not trying to be difficult, but:Inflation and the resulting high prices has been causing a lot of pain. I think Ta nehisi Coates was right in 2017 when he made his argument that bigotry motivated a lot of Americans to vote for Trump.After his win we heard all of this. It even became a meme "Economic anxiety". They arrived at much of the same conclusions people are reheating to serve again to the public.Harris spoke to peoples fears about immigration by spending time highlighting the fact that the Biden administration had been continuing to deport people and offered a border security bill Republicans would love. He heard about David Goggins and Jocko Willink on that show. Every day now he's busting his butt trying to be as mentally tough and physically fit as those navy seals ge looks up to. And you know what? They are pretty good dudes overall. I can't tell you how pissed off I get when I hear people saying awful shit about Rogan.
