Not pasting anything from the article because it's pure
but they did embed this cool video that I won't watch. A 17 minute video about how to argue with people online.

The post has 350 comments so Ars' strategy is working. As always the top comments serve as a reminder that the average Ars poster is worse than the average Redditor:
Swatzicoin Elonazi
This dude has been an Ars commenter for 25 years and is calling people idiots but doesn't remember "i before e except after c".
"Nooo please don't report on science we need to keep reporting on Musk
/r/comics couldn't imagine making a comic this good.

capitalism only works somewhat well when people who actually create things get rewarded.
launching people into the stratosphere for gambling on something that has no intrinsic value beyond people gambling on it ... ain't it chief

and the libs all complaining about his wealth are too fking r-slurred to realize amazon is entirely replaceable, such that all we need to do is try.
big tech is actual literal garbage at coding anything remotely close to efficiency... and we could self-fund similar ecosystems at magnitudes less cost, with far greater social use that the lowest common denominator shit capitalists dump out. and heck we can even pay the wagie labor more (assuming we don't entirely replace them)
we don't need to revolt, we literally just need to replace big tech with coops providing magnitudes more social benefit, and the rest will eventually follow.

I know you are full of shit because if it was so easy you would have done it by now instead of sperging out about how totally easy it is to replace them.

again: u r a complete r-slur applying sheeple-grade liberal indoctrination, without any working knowledge of what ur talking about, or notion to scales of complexity involved...
it's not a one man job in their spare time kinda of easy. it will take maybe 100s dedicating their lives to flesh out cooperative systems fully across all use cases in society.
but that is opposed to 10,000,000s building/maintaining the non-cooperative systems of today that honestly really do scrap the bottom of the barrel at providing societal benefit.

So you are just bitching and pooping your pants because some guys got together and built a complex machine that works over decades but the last step isn't perfect? Got it.
You just admitted that it is hard. Very very hard. Then accuse others of being sheeply for not believing you when you call it easy.
Noooooo the system isn't perfect that makes it useless noooooooo.
Literally living in a permanently self improving system with hundreds of millions of moving parts providing a higher than ever before quality of life to billions and still can't stop bitching about it like you had something better to offer.

i actually literally never said it was "easy" i just said we could do so with far greater efficiency, and with far great societal benefit.
weirdly generalized characteristics like "easy" or "very very hard" really convey no particular meaning about anything at all, so i'm not really sure why the frick ur commenting.
isn't perfect?!? this darn piece of unproven mathematical junk is creating more problems than it actually solves,
the rich bumblefricks who drive it all are so far removed from consequences they have no idea what the frick they're really doing,
and if we don't do it perfectly enough, u prove the luddites right with a god darn waste of fricking effort that gets us wiped the frick out.

@goderator200 calls out someone for misinterpreting their statement about efficiency, but ends up getting roasted by
@goderator200 themselves with some choice words about being a "sheeple" who can't understand basic communication.

i have?? i'm still looking to operate at anywhere near that efficiency while still getting paid big tech bucks.
the absolute mess modern tech makes of even like basic config access at scale is r-slurred.
it's just a giant key value store u morons. why does every internal micro service using it need to store and maintain their own durable and robust cache of whatever subset they need???

Wrong. Capitalism works by increasing people's incomes by creating useful products then creating new avenues for those same people to spend their additional surplus income on.
The " Capitalism is only real when useful product " logic fails and we know this because there is no successful communist society out there, and China with its firm control over how companies grow is also not successful in surpassing the US.
