I'm never going to be strong enough to repel a Nazi, but generalizing here, keep up your health. It is beneficial in so many ways I won't bother to list them. Everyone on reddit hates me because I always bring up cooking your own food, not smoking, not drinking, getting exercise every day, giving up fast food and ultraprocessed stuff. It's all key to keeping your body and teeth healthy over the years.

The effects are cumulative - one day you wake up and you have some godawful chronic disease, or your ticker isn't what it could be, or you need yet another root canal, and you are slowed down and inconvenienced by having to use the medical system all the time, take pills, etc.

Also, get an annual check up if only so you have a record of your own stats. It's actually interesting to compare your numbers year to year.

As a nazi myself, this is all really good advice. Regardless of what ideology you have, everyone should abandon unhealthy lifestyles and unhealthy food. Most fast food/door dash and other stuff you get in groceries are deliberately kept unhealthy in order to have a population that can't resist and constantly kept broke and in debt. (not to mention how immoral some of the sources of this food are.) You don't need to be shredded but eating well and working out daily with basic calisthenics goes a long way.

As someone who's immunocompromised from a COVID vaccine injury, I've learned that sometimes the best choice isn't to fight head-on, but to hide and protect myself. It's a hard reality, but sometimes survival means stepping back, staying safe, and waiting for a time when I'm stronger.

Context: The guy from h3h3 recently posted his first video in three years attacking his former friend and cohost socialist streamer Hasan Piker. Did I watch it or care? Frick no. I don't really know what the video says but I came across this post where some other streamer points out how the video uses a doctored image from the Destiny subreddit to make a (false) point.

Anyways, the pinned comment I linked is this:

The clip in the post makes no mention of the word cracker, so on top of being aggravating janny "I'm serious" speak it is totally random. The replies to this comment point this out:

Calling someone a cracker isn't racist, but cracker is a racist slur. Or vice versa? It doesn't make sense.

Some people point out how the jannies of this subreddit b-word about flame wars but then pin shit like this which seems to exist purely to cause flame wars.

The janny double-downs and gets showered with downkongs in response.

It's not okay to call someone Ritz instead of cracker because that is racist dog-whistling and just as offensive as saying cracker.

Someone mentions how they're leaving the subreddit and the janny responds cattily. Users point out how the janny felt the need to pin their thoughts on the word cracker when it wasn't asked.

Holy shit it is bleak. There are three Harry Potter books in there and two Hunger Games books in there in the top 10 best books.

Then you compare it to the best books of the 20th century ( still one harry potter book in there in top 10 but they are still doing way better than the 21st century.

How did the quality of the "greatest" works fall down so quickly. It is like humanity has forgotten how to write anything with any depth anymore and it is all at the level of quality of teenage story writing.

Is it simply over for the writing genre as a whole or is it that the best quality writing is actually no longer being recognized as the best because it didn't sell enough copies nor got enough appreciation from writing critics, or is it that there is a complete disconnect between what the average person considers enjoyable writing and what is considered actually good high brow writing?

I think it is a shift in medium where all the people looking for depth and high quality in their literary works moved on to movies and video games instead and all who are still hanging around the writing genre are those who will pick a random niche and the general books based on lowest common denominator which is teenage angst or teenage wonderment slop.

What this means is that the writing genre is going to keep going further down in quality over time and we need to look at the possible extinction of reading one day if everything turns out to be possible to be done by video because people are clearly getting worse at appreciating literature while getting a whole lot better at their expectations and appreciation of better video entertainment content.

Conclusion:

In terms of ease of entry into the writing department this is the easiest time period. In terms of making money from it, likely one of the harder time periods. We can expect the quality of writing meant for general audiences to have reached the lowest floor and never rise above it again this generation. The Zoom zooms are too r-slurred when it comes to quality writing in just a book.

My great grandpa (maternal side) is Czech and he once told us of how during the rise of the Nazi Party in neighboring Germany, but there were many in Czechoslovakia as well who were sympathetic to the Nazis, Hitler and their ideals, as truth be told, many Czechs saw the Germans as "equals", thought that the Nazis hatred of Jews, Roma people or Slavic people somehow didn't apply to them (Czechs who saw themselves as "Germanic" and/or sympathized with the Nazis).

Meanwhile many of those who opposed and/or did not sympathize with the Nazis also downplayed the threat the Nazis posed by saying things like "Oh, what's happening in Germany won't happen here", or "Hitler won't make good on his crazy threat to invade us", "Oh, it probably won't get that bad" or some other way of saying that we (those who are raising alarms over the danger Hitler actually posed) are overeacting.

When Hitler's forces invaded, a number of Czech people actually welcomed them giving Nazi salutes to the columns of invading Nazi troops or tearing down the Czech flag from buildings themselves to replace it with Nazi flags.

However, my great grandpa saw the danger the Nazis posed, the repression, violence and death they'd bring and lo and behold, when the Nazis did actually occupy Czechoslovakia, turns out the Nazis weren't just oppressing the Jews, gay people, communists, liberals, Czech nationalists and academics, but also extended their oppression of ordinary Czech people, including those of Germanic ancestry. Turns out, the Nazis didn't see us as equals after all and many of those Czechs who welcomed the Nazis had a "why are the leopards eating my face, I supported them?" mentality when the Gestapo came after them as well.

This is basically an oversimplification of why my great grandpa told me but yeah, the reason the Nazis (and fascism in general) was able to rise the way it does was because people either underestimated its danger or downplayed it for years, treating them like a joke until that joke wasn't funny anymore.

Canadian here. Not sure if this is PreperIntel worthy but just reporting something I've honestly never seen in my life. Canadians woke up today feeling super patriotic. And super pissed. Not that we aren't usually patriotic but we aren't a bunch of flag wavers. It's more a quiet patriotism we keep to ourselves. And we are generally a polite and reserved bunch in general.

Not today. Holy... the mood in Canada is ... PISSED.

Most of the anger is aimed at your current head of state but also at your country as a whole. Not so much individual Americans. You will be perfectly safe traveling through Canada or visiting. But there is outright anger directed at any product with a "Made in the USA" flag. Every store in Canada is going around with maple leaf stickers marking the "Made in Canada" products. Consumer boycotts are springing up organically across the country. The talk is really sort of ... ugly.

I get the sense there has been significant damage done to the US Brand in Canada. And I don't think it's confined to Canada. I have friends in the UK who say the same. They are also just frankly pissed beyond all reason. I expect it's the same across Europe.

Hopefully it dies down. It's absolutely non-productive and unCanadian. America and Canada have been ride or die BFF's for a century or more. I live in Arizona 1/2 time and I love LOVE it here. I have yet to personally meet an American I didn't genuinely like. You are good people. You do not deserve any of this.
