So I met my black neighbor this morning on my way out to work. I live in an apartment so it's not really that neighborly and I normally just stay in and edge for a majority of the day so I haven't had the chance to meet this dude yet.
Did the normal pleasantries and we were both walking and talking to our cars. On his departure to his car, he told me his name and I told him mine. End of talk. He came in with a fist bump (I didn't cower in fear which is an improvement) and I came in with a handshake and held that firm and did not switch to a fist bump (as is their culture). He changed his hand from a fist to an open palm very quickly and we shook hands.
Was I wrong? Was he wrong? Feels more racists to give a black dude a fist bump as white people assume that's the way you greet them.

Has anyone else noticed this pattern? Black guys involved in the kinds of crime that society is afraid of are fricking constantly listening to this song.
I completely understand why they would like the song. But what is the pathway where it got to them? Was it a huge hit in black churches in the 1990s?
I guess I should stop being neurodivergent and just ask one of them.

A week ago, I start a poem as a means of processing the fatal shooting on UNC Chapel Hill's campus. Now I'm hidden away again in the very same classroom, and I finally found the words to finish it. pic.twitter.com/4qsBRJr0Hs

In last night's community livestream, 343 Industries announced that Halo Infinite would be ditching seasonal cycles and adopting the smaller "content updates"
my heart is telling me !g*mers dont you love modern gaming
ok so Compare this to why it was called Infinite in the first place
“Halo Infinite is the start of our platform for the future,” he said. “We want Infinite to grow over time, versus going to those numbered titles and having all that segmentation that we had before. It's really about creating Halo Infinite as the start of the next ten years for Halo and then building that as we go with our fans and community.”
