I addressed that. I also addressed why that isn't a legitimate business reason for disciplining or terminating the employee over an aspect of the employee's life that is rightfully outside the employer's concern.

So, to reiterate: an employer doesn't have a legitimate business interest in dictating whether their employee is male, female, or otherwise;

Anglo, Japanese, Latinx, Malay, or otherwise;

25, 45, 55, or otherwise;

Titled Mr., Ms., Mrs., Reverend, Mx. Or otherwise;

Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist, or otherwise —

If their job is accomplished as any other employee's is, and the Loss of Business is solely ascribable to customers being persecutorial bigots, that then is not the fault nor responsibility of the employee.

Any suggestion that it is otherwise needs additional facts to bear that assertion out, or is (as history and the law have shown) simply wrong.

Any business chartered under the law which finds itself unable to operate in accordance with the law needs to reconsider whether it has failed or fulfilled its charter.

The simple answer is:

The people who were "protesting" "change", "censorship", and so forth and so on when Ellen Pao was CEO, were not actually protesting change nor censorship.

What they were doing was throwing a series of giant racist, sexist tantrums because an educated Asian woman who is a feminist was CEO. They weren't protesting censorship or free speech; they were taking revenge on a figurehead scapegoat.

The people who were "protesting" (rioting) wanted to be allowed to harass minorities, women, and carry out criminal enterprises via this website. When they were stopped from doing so, they threw tantrums.

Most people have a baseline of fairly conventional kindergarten morality, and Postmodern Conservatism often clashes with it.

You can rationalise the contradictions in your beliefs: "I'm not a bigot, I just believe in State's Rights"

But as American Conservatism gets more radical

It gets harder to square one's politics with what one assumes to be one's beliefs.

So you learn, when someone challenges you, to cycle through beliefs (and thought-terminating comebacks like "That's a hot take"), until something sticks.

insist that you have no beliefs at all, you're just here to watch the world burn.

But you're not.

You are willing participants in the burning of only certain parts.

You don't actually care what you believe, but you know what you hate, and you don't want to think about why you hate it.

On paper, you believe in Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Expression, but you also hang out in communities where Muslims and trans women are punching bags - and operate subreddits like SPS that explicitly serve to direct harassment at the people you hate.

Obergefell v Hodges, the landmark SCOTUS case which affirmed that two people are allowed to marry regardless of the s*x marker on their government-issued identification documents, is explicitly named in the Dobbs decision - you know, the one that overturned the SCOTUS opinion recognising a right to privacy and by extension a woman's right to reproductive health care? to be next in line to be overturned by a SCOTUS case challenging its basis. No more gay marriage in the USA, real soon, unless miracles happen.

Maybe you have, maybe you haven't been paying attention but there's a whole hundreds-of-thousands-of-people-maybe-more political movement that right now is demanding that LGBTQ people be executed in the street because (they claim) our existence in public corrupts the youth, which - and no one who's graduated high school should have to have this pointed out - is the opening salvo to the kind of oppression and violence that happened in Germany a hundred years ago.

There are public school teachers who are having to leave their job and hide across country because their lives are threatened - or they've actually been assaulted - on the mere allegation that they told their students that LGBTQ people deserve love and respect.

There are public school teachers losing their jobs because they're gay and married.

But you probably don't care about the facts - you're just here to scream about how "LGBTQ people are the real oppressors", along with a whole derail about some Russian Christians.

I'll sign off here by observing the bit in the last card - the reason none of us really wants to take your "Debate meeee!" bait is because we know what your next move is - to dodge to some other derail, or otherwise avoid taking responsibility for putting your boot on our necks and joining a growing genocidal movement targeting us.
