A few quick things -

i) You may have received a notification about an Alpha or Beta badge. Everyone who registered before July 4th (the day the motherland was hit with Incredibly Serious Sanctions) has been given the Alpha User badge. July 4th to some date in August has the Beta badge. If you joined after that, you don't get SHIT.

ii) We're nearing what is unironically the most wonderful time of the year, so it's time to make some Christmas (or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or New Years, or...happy wintry I guess) Marseys You have until 12/25 at 23:59:59 to get these in. Go ahead and make a thread with your work as always if you want, but be sure to also post it in the megathread and @ me so I can give you the badge.

In keeping with the shitty pixelart Halloween Marsey Artist badge, this is the design -

Thanksgiving is too negligible to warrant a specific Marsey Artist badge, but if you make any Thanksgiving-themed Marseys, do the same (remember to post in the megathread and ping me) and I'll at least toss some awards your way.

2. reduced golden marsey chance to 0.5%

3. made ghost award affect the post itself as well

Hello friends, I worked on some UI changes today and I hope you enjoy them. It will improve the rDrama experience

• Upvotes and downvotes are now animated, very satisfying !

• An adaptive shadow is displayed on the navigation bar. the lower you scroll the more shadowy it will become (to a limit of course)

• The replies modal (quick reply) is now animated and expands out cleanly

• Dropdown menus are also animated and have a shadow. A few go lower than expected but I will fix this soon, just need to remove some leftover crust on the HTML

Other things worth mentioning: I made the rDrama logo in the top right not expand all the way anymore, this is because in my next patch I will add a feature to click the navbar to scroll back to top

Updates: Animations can be disabled in the config menu. Fixed bugs with mobile phones and stuff, and fixed up some components.

Offtopic nerd shit and codecel shilling , but I am developing my own fediverse frontend in C, called Treebird, here is a screenshot.

That technically makes it rDramaware too..... because soon, our Fediverse instance will switch from Pleroma's default frontend to Treebird as the default. It does not require Javascript and is very fast but I'm still working on it I want to make sure the first version is usable enough for everyone. SHILL END

Treasure Boxes

• Treasure boxes now have a chance to appear in posts that do not contain !slots or !blackjack.
• Treasure boxes can either be standard (1% chance, 10-100 DC reward), or special (0.1% chance, 100-1000 DC reward).
• Standard treasure boxes have a 25% chance of being a mimic, which instead eats 10-100 of your DC.

Blackjack

• Blackjack winnings and losses now add to total user winnings.
• Getting a blackjack from the initial deal now correctly pays.
• The dealer's "X" cards now properly show as "10."
