People aren’t using cosmetic awards nearly as much as I’d like them to so now we’re doing this.

Cosmetic awards are things like fireflies, wholesome, stripper cake, glowie, etc.

Team Vaxxmaxxed: Gets 3x dramacoin from votes on their posts/comments (responsible contributors to herd immunity get rewarded by the globohomo capitalist state).

Team Zombie: Gets free progressive stack on their posts and comments (fast zombies), AND gets a free bite award every 24hrs to spread the love.

You can now vax yourself. It takes one vax to go from infected to healthy. Any vaxxes after that make you VAXXED, which takes two bites to deplete back to healthy. You can stack up to five (5) vaxxes for a total of eleven bites until zombification.

ALSO, we are tracking bites and vaxxes. There winning team when Homoween ends will get a very special [redacted]. There will definitely be a fun stats post about who the biggest superspreaders and CDC lackies were.

Please use this hat submission page going forward. You’re not required to move your yet-unapproved hats from the hat submission thread there, but it would be cool if you did. Not the end of the world if not though. Please delete your comment in the OG thread with the hat if so, to avoid conflicting filenames. Note that I am still working that thread, so if you see your currently-backlogged comment got jannied, it means I took care of it. Previously I would just upvote things I had processed.

DMs

Previously, there were two huge issues with DMs:

1. They’d populate in the main Notifications tab, which often caused DMs to be overlooked, as clearing their notification was tied to just clicking the bell at all and they’d likely be buried under normal notifications, and

2. The actual Messages tab sorted by date of the first message received, rather than most recent. So even if you were diligent in checking that tab to keep up, conversations would inevitably get buried. If someone messaged you on Monday and you’d been discussing something, and it’s now Saturday, every message you received from Tuesday-Saturday would be above that conversation, regardless of replies.

@TwoLargeSnakesMating has resolved both of these issues and it’s SO GOOD. Praise him.

• Casino games are no longer comment-based.

• https://rdrama.net/casino is now the place to gamble, and currently has Slots, Blackjack and Lottershe.

• As you gamble, you can see your dramacoin and marseybux go up and down without refreshing the page.

• New games will be added as time goes on.

• New animations, textures, etc will also be added. I know it looks basic AF right now, but I already have some assets that will make it fresher.

• All prior comment-based gambling data will be migrated by @Snakes in the next few weeks.

• In a future update, each casino game will have a feed of user activity, as well as slots for leaderboard positions.

• Also in that update, the badges previously showcased by carp will go live.

To those of you who really liked the social aspect of gambling, such as people gambling in threads with golden marseys, I empathize. It was a tough decision we ultimately agreed on.

In anticipation of Lollapalooza… er, darn, hats are taking a while; that was two weeks ago. In anticipation of Burning Man, we're giving our beloved Dramatards (especially @Goomble) what you've been asking for ever since Carp prematurely announced them: flower crowns. Today's update adds fifteen (15) flower crowns, and everyone will now have random flower crowns visible throughout the site. Please partake in white girl music festival activities responsibly.

P.S. The Actual Hats Update is still coming sometime before Christ returns to judge the quick and the dead. The flower crowns will be part of the real hats update. You do not get to keep your flower crowns. What sort of r-slur takes home things they found on the ground at a festival? That's like picking up beer-soaked beads at Mardi Gras.

Minimum bet is 100 coins, just like slots. To play, enter !blackjack<bet> into your post. Afterward, you will see your hand and the dealer's face-up card in your post header, along with [Hit] and [Stay]. First fourteen original content images for our New and Improved™ sidebar on new rDrama have been added! More are obviously to come, but this is just the first batch that we have uploaded to test the concept. New site has come a long way since its original rollout. While some minor bugs might still prevail, it is definitely functional by now and it sports a fairly large number of awesome themes for you to choose from - just click on the arrow by username and then "pick theme" to check them out. There's a bug report thread in the sidebar if you run across anything that needs fixing, too. We've also added keyboard scrolling, easier post editing, and a dark mode.
