Popped this one while she was sitting in a tree trying to figure out what happened to her dead husband:
Update on the one from yesterday:
He's still there. Hasn't been cleaned up yet

Hello everyone, I'm currently drunk on gin and going to bed. I hope to cure my eventual hangover, so here is my attempted cocktail:
3 pickled asparagus
1 large drink from the pickle jar
About 2 cups of water straight from the tap
A big scoop of horse radish sauce on a cracker
I will update in the morning to see if this worked. Godspeed future me.
In the mean time, post your hangover cures and if mine doesn't work I'll try yours next time.
EDIT: It worked, I lived. Thank you everyone for your ideas, next time I get shit faced I will give them a try.

Context:
Surgery #3 was postponed to tomorrow as I was still a bit too swollen. Hopefully this will finally close up the wound once and for all. It's about fricking time. I'm tired of having this rug shampooer drain all the nasty shit out of it.
I talked to a Pinay nurse for about 30 seconds and we immediately connected because of my deep understanding of her culture and dare I say her very soul. She came back a couple hours later and said I'd convinced her to order The Song of Bernadette while she was on her break. Not even exaggerating, that's how awesome I am.
Even atheists love this movie.
I'm watching US Nationals now. Some of these American ladies are good, but let's be honest with ourselves. Loena Hendrickx is gonna eat them up and spit them out at Worlds.
I like Seo and loved her choice of Copland to skate to. As far as Isabeau vs. Amber Glenn, I'm for Glenn. I feel Isabeau's component scores are a bit inflated. I guess ger performance just isn't gripping me emotiotionally like it does for the judges.

Hehehohoheehee
She asked me how I was feeling and I said I have never been better.
All throughout the time I was talking to her, I was giggling uncontrollably. She was very uncomfortable.
She looked at me and said it was a mistake. Took my bp(normal). Pupil dilation was normal, did I do any drugs(I did not).
Then she told me I should get back on SSRIs.
Tbf I missed out a lot of what she was saying. Very boring. Zoned out like half a dozen times.
Anyway, Back to SSRIs, strags.

Just had one of the best mountain trips ever, at extremely cheap rates and without the mobs that make every touristy place intolerable.
Had this almost for a personal beach for an hour. Was traveling with 5 other people but we were out of each other's earshot.
Of course it was only so empty cause the cold was , even with 4 layers on I was shivering at the passes.
Also got a great adrenaline rush when this frozen lake I was walking on began to crack underfoot. Fastest I've walked I think.
And met the cutest puppy
Its not really clear in the pic but he could fit in my hands entirely. Never seen such a small pup. And he was so fluffy.

Which means that I now have enough free time to get through the day without having to track every single minute. While still making productive improvements to myself.
Another positive addition is that my distracted desires have almost hit zero as I get ever closer to focusing on only useful things or the things that I actually am sure I wish to do.
My weight continues to go down. I am either in the middle or the lower end of overweight. Hopefully in normal range by the end of the month.
My skill continues to go up.
I have managed to prioritize the more important skills over the less important skills which again gets more oomph out of my time and saves me time as well as the less important skills are removed to fit things within the day.
I only have one hobby or side skill being developed at a time which I will keep shifting as I get semi competent at one skill, in this manner I am hoping to have a plethora of side skills over time which are good enough to add to my total capabilities without requiring me to be in the top 0.1% at them. Smart enough to get smarter and smart enough to understand what somebody else is doing in that department.
Good luck to me and good luck to you.

I'm in my 30s and everyone either is busy raising a family or spends all their time watching tv/being woke/getting fat.
Where have you guys met people IRL who are now your friends/partners?
Thx

I just got taken on as an associate by a small but well-respected company. The way the conversation went, I reckon I can be partner by this time next year.
They hired me based on reputation (didn't ask for referees), so I'm feeling a bit smug rn.
Also a bit anxious, which is normal I suppose. Wish me luck, dramanauts.

My (19F, 347lbs, 4'2", mayo, 280/110 mmHg, bisexual, gout, long covid) beautiful body gave up on sleeping at ~4am. I was in a plain old ROTTEN mood. I went on timktok and learned about this thing where your body (huge) knows what it wants. So I did some

It's easy to forget how massive of a divide there is between people who pay attention, and those that are going about their normal lives and punishing their bodies.
I've always been someone who pays attention to everything, becomes very interested in subjects, and finds the time to do at least a little bit of research on the important things that impact our world, from climate change, to war, to politics, to of course, the worst global ongoing disease in a hundred years.
But as we've all seen, COVID has been the intellectual cliff that everyone has decided to throw themselves over, abandoning reason and information for ignorance and blind trust. Most people are completely unaware of anything that affects their daily lives, from politics, to law, to the very air they breathe, so I guess why would COVID be any different? From that angle it makes perfect sense everybody willfully forgot about COVID as soon as the government snapped their fingers.
After 4 years, I've learned that people just do not want to hear about COVID, even during this 2nd largest wave yet.
Activism about the war in Palestine or Ukraine is encouraged. Calling out Joe Biden for supporting genocide (only war though) is fantastic. Decry the public health system for failing people every day in America. AWESOME. But even hint that COVID should still be avoided, or that leadership is failing people by keeping it hushed: THAT'S A CONSPIRACY AND YOU ARE CRAZY FOR EVEN BRINGING IT UP!
So, after 4 years of alienating people with scientific information (lol), I've shifted more into self-preservation mode. And when things come up, like the inevitable "Hey long time no talk! Want to go get dinner?", my response of "Sorry, I'm still taking COVID precautions" falls on completely deaf ears. Mostly there is no response.
So, I've found myself using more and more language that makes it about me. "Oh I'm dealing with health stuff, so I can't right now" or "I have to avoid COVID for awhile until X issue of mine is better" and so-on.
This gets a much better response from people, but the thing is, IT FRICKING SUCKS AND IS BASICALLY A LIE. We're inside a burning building, and I'm having to tell people "Oh I'm just temperature sensitive, don't mind me" while I'm trying to use the fire extinguisher. Otherwise I get instantly written off as the "crazy" person.
The other day I had a conversation with an old friend online, and after some catching up they asked if I wanted to meet up. I gave them the "It's not COVID, it's me" line, and they actually responded "Yeah COVID looks really bad right now, let's meet up when it's gone down a bit!"
Surprised at their response I felt empowered and added that with my health problems I've followed COVID closely, and it's not great to get it repeatedly. That we need more honesty from leaders, better prevention, and treatments.
Well that was a quick way to end that conversation. I might as well have responded with "I am a gorilla and I only wear red tarp to the magic kingdom."
Oops, my bad for trying to give out some basic scientific information during a massive global health crisis.
I talked to my partner about it - who has thankfully hunkered down with me this whole time, though very openly not happy about it - and they told me flat out "Yeah well, you're not everybody's parent. It's not up to you to tell people what to do."
sigh
Then they said "Just keep telling people you're being safe from COVID, you're taking care of health issues, keep it about you. Don't start giving them data, don't tell them how unsafe it is, it's not your place."
Well firstly, I don't tell anybody what to do. I'm not judging anyone. I want people to know so that they stay safe, so they can apply social pressure to leadership to do better, and so this bullshit can end so we can have our lives back. I don't want my friends to destroy their immune systems and die.
We started to get into a little bit of an argument about activism of any kind. I said "Should this be the same method for climate change, politics, war?" but the conversation kind of diffused because neither of us wanted to be combative.
I left it off with "I just want people to know, that's all, they can do whatever they want."
But COVID is not a personal issue. COVID isn't about me being weak or scared. It's a global health issue. And the only reason it isn't for everyone is because they are in the dark. So it feels extremely shitty to have to keep framing it as "oh it's not COVID, it's ME" which is bullshit. Yes I have a vested interest in everyone pushing to end this bullshit because it affects ME personally, too, and I want my life back! But collective action is needed to keep everyone safe!
That's another step in the minimization process, and is how things get suppressed.
But it's pretty clear that not only can I not shout from the rooftops, I can't even engage in a basic conversation about it. The building is on fire, but I have to keep quiet and let my friends kill themselves while I watch in silence.
Just needed to vent.

At the airport in Rome rn.
Bathrooms are pretty sweet. No handles or faucets at any sinks just motion sensors to shoot out soap, water and blow dry at the same sink.
That's all for now!
