DKC 1
The goat. It has the purest platforming experience with few gimmicks but is arguably the least fleshed-out. Bosses are simple and re-used, but the levels and music are infinitely charming.
DKC 2
The first but better. An improvement on basically every aspect of the original from bonus stages, bosses, and gimmicks. I felt there were a few too many gimmicky stages here but not enough to ruin the game for me, but enough to not make this a slam dunk improvement. Also Dixie makes the game a bit too easy at times, playing her feels like summoning in Dark Souls.
DKC 3
Lots of gimmicks, and the music sucks. Almost every level has a unique mechanic but it gets to be so obnoxious. Just let me jump from one platform to the next without making me stand on one leg in the dark in a unicycle while I do it. Shut the frick up. Kiddy Kong sucks.
DKC: Returns
Giving the player four health points instead of two ended up making levels way easier, so they countered this by putting in tons and tons of one-shot kills (usually pits or god-awful rocketbarrel sequences). Also the music sucks and Donkey Kong sounds like an r-slur. Also, no Kremlings fricking sucks. 
DKC: TF
Lots of improvements over the original. Fewer bullshit stages, more kongs (finally Cranky Kong! 
), better music (David Fricking Wise). Still no Kremlings though, but was overall fun to play.

Graphics are not great. You do get some dramatic beautiful moments but overall graphics are veeeery mid and often times silly bad (those rabbits lmao).
HOWEVER
The game is the most fun I've had since I don't remeber when.
The combat system seems to be shallow at first but once you really delve into it, holy kino. Nioh 2 levels of great? Maybe.
Real sense of adventure too, the story is actually good and creates a neat atmosphere.

the problem i have with groomercord instead of forums is that groomercord servers are not public
there is no large searchable database of topics that people talk about on groomercord servers that any search engine can access if you want to search for answers you need to be on the right server first, on the wrong server? no answer for you, got banned from that server for any one of a multitude of reasons including a janitor going on a power trip? no answers for you.
if a server gets shut down that's it its all gone there is no waybackmachine there is no archive
groomercord in place of forums is just a black hole of information.
reddit is not quite so bad in that you can archive and search it but who knows when reddit is going to decide that being searchable and archivable is bad for the bottom line as they did with 3rd party apps?
if a subreddit gets shut down its all gone apart from what got archived
but hey relying on a third party service (especially one that just did an IPO) for your forum needs is a great idea as you don't have to pay server hosting costs
