Hardest difficulty remove the lvl 50 max cap and replace it with 100 (110 with first dlc 120 with 2nd dlc) but thing is lvls are just visual shit similar how in Dante inferno when you expend your hp it's changes the hp indicator making it bigger but you still die from same amount of hits as before. What hardest difficulty does is makes enemy hit a bit harder and having a ton more hp and since the game has only one true weapon and fights concept doesn't change its always the same fights, mobs you hit them until they die, sub bosses you hit them until you stagger them then unleash a same patter of your ult's for max damage and they die then you have bosses and the fight is like doing 2 times the shit you are doing against sub bosses. That's the whole gameplay.
People shit at ff15 but that game had a lot of different weapons and it wasn't as fight focused as ff16. Ff16 is like ff14 dungeons, you start a mission kill some mobs then a sub boss then more mobs then a boss and mission is done. If it had a good gameplay or good side activities you could had found an excuse but there are non and the hardest difficulty just shows how flawed the game is.
I finished ff7 remake on hardest difficulty and it was much better than ff16 tho I also didn't liked it since it lost all elements of rpg and became just action game with memorising enemy patterns and dodge windows
It's just makes me wonder they spend 8 years designing that game and they came out with such shity gameplay design, how is this possible
The game probably would legit been much better if they just made it turn base especially since you are almost never alone

the reason why i prefer fights in dragons dogma over elden ring and dark souls is because the fights are OUTSIDE. iβm tired of arenas, i think itβs miraculous that a monster can just take you anywhere. i still wish the venom fight in spider-man 2 was across new york https://t.co/3m5uERpT0J

Thanks to recent successes, we know exactly what a great South Park game looks like, and South Park: Snow Day! couldn't be farther from it. I'm a huge fan of throwing out the rulebook to try something completely fresh, especially in this age of samey sequels and forever live-service games that increasingly play it safe, but this bold attempt at a new direction misses the mark so drastically I'm aghast at just how sideways things went. Whether it's due to the thoroughly unenjoyable combat or the uncharacteristicly toothless and unfunny story, I can't recommend anyone waste their time on this cooperative lost cause β even my fellow die-hard South Park fans.
I thought IGN could only rate games 7/10 at the lowest

Prolly 80% of the stuff on my steam deck is shmups bc it's the only gender of games I can really stick with bc scrolling shooter shit in a spaceship is timeless and quick to jump into. Idk care if it's anime horse shit like mushihimesama since its cave., most shmups own. I'm trying to find new stuff I haven't played before since I got this thing again. I got rtype final 2, all of the cave games, dariusburst, that fantastic crimson clover and a few others including shit on mame but I need more recs
What's the deal with those tofu or whatever games. I don't care about the neurodivergent weeb fandom, are the games actually good shooters and what are the good ones to get

Game to Discuss?
Since the rdrama fortress received another update this week (please check it out in this link 008: Mostibkun, "Orangecat" - an rDrama succession fort: Chapter 8, "Adamantine"), we will discuss Dwarf Fortress this week:
Dwarf Fortress
In this complex construction/management/roguelike simulation, every generated world brings a unique challenge, whether it's dwarves with their own simulated personalities or aquifers. Observe what makes your civilization fall into eventual decline, and learn for next time⦠until something else inevitably goes wrong. The combat model includes skills, body parts, material properties, aimed attacks, wrestling, pain, nausea, various poison effects, and much more. It's difficult to convey the depth of the generation. Hundreds of animals and monsters, many of which are randomly created for each world, as well as generated poetry, musical forms, instruments, and dances for your dwarves to practice and perform. A dynamic weather model tracks wind, humidity, and air masses to create fronts, clouds, storms, and blizzards. Over two hundred rock and mineral types can appear, in their proper geological environments.

Reverse Collapse, (more like prolapse amirite?), is the latest in the new trend of gacha game devs making actual games with their overstuffed coffers filled with ill gotten gambling gold (where the prize is JPGs and not money)
The devs of this game made one called girls frontline which decided to make a fricking sequel to reset the process and bleed their paypiggies again
But that is not the subject of todays discussion, it's their current real entry getting reviewbombed.
Prolapse : The Bakery is essentially something like Fireaxis Xcom/Advance Wars/Fire Emblem, it seems solid enough for what it is. However, Chinese are mad!
One may wonder where this nonsense comes from? Fortunately, we have some context!
A character who is Chinese was given the BWC For you non virgins, what this means is GFL was known as a game without real male characters (to better let lonely scrotes insert into the gacha and pretend they had a harem of robotic slave gun girls) while this game added a male main character with an actual face and personality.
In fact, there are SEVERAL male characters now This is considered SUPER threatening to the Chinese players of the game.
Chinaman g*mers ask for help after their brave efforts in defeating the menace known as Sweet Baby Inc
But g*mers aren't having it...
In closing:
@BWC Your expertise is required here
!gacha Any context you lovely lads can provide would also be appreciated.

Orange Site discussion got flagged for some reason
Dumb comments:
Reminder the "majority of g*mers" stat includes Candy Crush.
There's plenty of studies on men being more visual, but that's chud science now.
From the study:
For their part, men are rated as better and more competitive players (Salter, 2018), which increases the invisibility of women in this community.
They're trying to frame this as discrimination rather than foids realizing it's easier to get their tits out than to learn to 360 noscope.

Lalonders admitted she discriminated against white people during a presentation for the Game Devs of Color Expo 2021 that was recently highlighted by LibsofTikTok.
In the presentation Lalonders states, βValiDate has a team of all people of color. We have no white people on our team. I did that because I wanted to create a safe environment. And I know the best way for the environment to be safe is to be around people who are just like me.β
βAnd I'm not saying that white people in the industry are creating unsafe environments. I'm not saying that. That is not what I'm saying,β she said. βI'm saying sometimes it is hard to work with white people because they think that something may be okay, but it was really a microaggression, and no one wants to deal with that while you're trying to make a game that they love.β

With recent drama from @Losercel, DD2 continues to cause issues.
One such issue is with a mechanic called dragon plague, that makes any pawn in you party capable of killing all npcs in a town.
Only way of checking is if the pawn has pulsating red eyes, disobeys your orders, or and an idle animation
Now g*mers are getting paranoid and killing their pawns to be sure.

Cities: Skylines, though now supposedly defunct with the release of its buggy and bizarre sequel, was, at the time of its release, seen as a proper successor to Simcity 4. While more than a decade late to the debate (t. ) I thought it would be interesting to see how these games stack up. The first thing to note is that Cities:Skylines has actual individual citizens, who are "simulated." While it may be true that they are simulated, the degree to which they're simulated is debateable. For the most part, what is simulated is how they get around your city, driving from one place to another, which incidentally describes much of what the game revolves around: managing traffic. When citizens receive appropriate services (unlocked at specific city sizes) their houses level up. Simcity 4, by contrast, doesn't attempt to simulate individuals at all. Simcity 4, to use the word of the year for $CURRENT_YEAR-1, is best described as stochastic. A (random) subset of the population is simulated at a time, but never in any great detail. This made it possible to run it on the blazingly fast computers on 2003, when the game was released.
What you spend your time doing in a game has a large effect on how you experience a game, of course. In Cities: Skylines, you will spend most of your time staring at traffic, trying to get it to move better. In Simcity 4, by contrast, you will spend a lot of time (especially early on) adjusting budgets. Simcity 4's news ticker is also much better than the gay bird permanently affixed to the top of your screen, running through the same hundred odd messages, none of which are memorable or otherwise interesting, unlike Simcity 4's somewhat humorous news ticker with updates on llamas, or advice on how to play the game. This brings me to another point: balancing the budget, which you'd expect to be an important task. Cities: Skylines does not provide any challenge, here. You simply need to have enough people to cover your costs, and it doesn't take much to get to the point where money is effectively no longer a concern. Simcity 4 does not give you money in the same way, until you've got a reasonably large city, and even then, proper attention to the budgets of your education and health buildings will make a huge difference in how much money you make.
In terms of aesthetics, Simcity 4 is clearly superior. Simulating three different social classes, demarcated by how much money they make, determines the appearance of any individual building, based on the class of residents which live there. As you might expect, buildings for the poor house the most residents, while those for the upper classes hold fewer. All of these are beautifully modeled, whether it be the high end office buildings or long rows of poverty blocks. Cities: Skylines has a much smaller pool of building models, and their external appearance is based off of the mysterious "level" mechanic. Buildings with higher levels hold more people, and they generally grow some gay solar panels or other such bullshit. In terms of music, Simcity 4 has an amazing soundtrack, which I sometimes listen to on its own. Cities: Skylines has one which is best described by the word "existent." I've never paid much attention to it.
In conclusion, Skylines isn't worth shit. Play Simcity 4 instead, and get the NAM mod.
