I personally not a fan of dragon quest but I do think it's kinda cool how pick they romanticise Europe (and some way Arab) countries cultures. Like the game has cities themed on x countries of Europe where people using names and words from that x country. Western devs somehow don't touch their own culture and mythology, I can understand now why they don't do it but 10+ years ago they also didn't do it. Like why Frogs didn't made a Jane D'arc game ?

But back to dragon quest 12, that game was supposed to be like dragon quest version of ff16 dark and cool so western gaymercels enjoy, obviously bad idea since it's 2nd biggest jap game after Pokémon. So like they say if you chase 2 rabbits you end up without rabbit.

DQ games are mostly famous for simple story with some twist and very polish gaymplay in mostly go happy atmosphere so making it dark and edgy… I mean I would like it but it probably not what fans wants.

The 18 year old Xbox 360 is only now shutting its store down because Microsoft already ported over most of the games. The PS3 had a scare earlier but now seems to be staying up for the foreseeable future. Neither of their successors have shown any sign of going offline.

Dune 1 is a great game and French women saying sweet things to you... Yeah, it really is that good.

Cryo's Dune game. It's a bizarre mix of strategy and adventure genres. It's actually pretty good. I tried making something similar and got all the technical stuff worked out but then I realized I don't have the creativity to make it interesting. Probably because I'm not French.

The company that owned the rights to Dune decided these weird French people would never complete anything. So they went to Westwood and hired them to make what became Dune 2, the true beginning of the RTS genre. But the Frenchoids actually finished the game and released it at around the same time.

Anyway you can see just putting one sentence in French on the screen is much more alluring than anything Zendaya has ever done in her short life.

They are accused of "destroying games with diversity and inclusivity". It is - of course - conspiratorial nonsense, the company isn't even doing what the chuds accuse them of. The fake outrage is yet again a pretext to spout hate and revel in sexism, racism, homo- and transphobia.

If all of this feels familiar to those who have been around the last time, that's because it is: 2024's Gators have fully the moniker of "G*merGate 2.0"

In the tenth year since G*merGate, we're seeing a repeat of it in the harassment campaign against narrative design studio Sweet Baby Inc. The same forces that set off the initial one have changed their language and targets, but the reactionary current is back, only strengthened in the intervening years, and still enabled by a corporate class that cares more about profit margins than worker well being.

This campaign - like in 2014 - is a part of the larger right-wing attack against anything that their fascist ideology disapproves of. Like the last time, they choose a small group to punish and harass in order to send a wider message. This needs to be stopped. But what we get instead is yet another failure of management class: Valve and Groomercord who own the platforms where (currently) the majority of the harassment is organized, have yet to take any measure. I couldn't find the original source, maybe some frogs on here can.

So I picked up Outer Wilds and it's pretty good. The fanbase is a little annoying what with the I CAN'T TELL YOU ANYTHING BUT IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER but it's still a solid puzzle game. I personally thought of it as Myst with space physics I'm a fan of Fire Emblem and Undertale so I'm used to ignoring terrible fandoms

Another game I liked is Subnautica but what I specifically liked was the exploration and figuring out the story. I only tolerated the survival crafting.
