The Drammy Awards 2022 - Nominations Thread ($140,000 Marseybux up for grabs!)

Trans ladies and gentlethems, I hope you had a wonderful Fistmas orgy! What an honor it's been - this obscure cartoon cat fetishist gossip forum has somehow managed to last its first full year without completely imploding in spectacular fashion. Well hey, there's always next year, right?

Continuing onward from last year, I'll be hosting an end-of-year "Best Of" awards ceremony to commemorate the fun and exciting ride we've had through this drama-packed year - where YOU cuties get to vote on the most prominent and memorable events, posts, and even fellow dramatards (lolcows or otherwise) of 2022! This time though, I convinced the not to be a complete fricking Scrooge when it comes to the award money, so this year's event will be rewarding the winners with upwards of ten times the amount given out last time, with up to $50,000 Marseybux on the line for the most coveted titles - these prestigous prizes are now definitely worth fighting for! Oh, and there are also very stylish and glamorous profile badges also up for grabs for each award winner too, with the winners of last year also retroactively given a badge for their contributions to the site. So come grab a mug of hot cocoa and reminiscence with us like an old weird decrepit boomer over a bunch of pointless internet drama that we dutifully archived and often stoked ourselves.

Last year the winners were purely decided by number of upmarseys, which resulted in a slight bias toward whoever got nominated first since those comments got pushed to the top and ended up burying later suggestions. So this year round, the awards will be decided in two parts: a free-form nominations thread (this one!) which will make use of the fancy multiple-selection poll feature where everyone can throw in their own suggestions for whom/what is deserving of each award, and in a few days the most popular suggestions for each category (5 maximum) will then go through to a final voting round, the ultimate winners decided by single-vote poll. Without further ado, here are the categories up for nomination this year:

Best Dramatic Happening

With the vast amount of shit that's gone down his year, choosing the single most defining dramatic event of 2022 is a tall order. And that's exactly why I'm leaving it to you guys to decide so I don't have to do any actual thinking for once.

I've provided a list below of ten of the most notable incidents which are definitely worthy of consideration in my personal opinion, but if none of these cut it for you, feel free to nominate your own personal favorite shitshow of the year!

Simply put, whoever you think was the most notable rDrama user of 2022, be it for good or shitty reasons; basically like how TIME magazine does it. Pretty much any active user who isn't banned from the site can be nominated for this award - yes, even you!

I'm not gonna throw in my own suggestions for this one, simply because it's too much work to even come up with a definitive solid list of candidates (and I don't want to bias the result), but generally a good nominee would be a user that's spent the year wasting their life here to produce a lot of good posts, OC or cause an awful lot of drama.

Best rDrama Bait

With 2022 came a lot of rDrama firsts when it came to our naughty online capers: our shenanigans brought upon our prime debut on broadcast television from our resident furstrags rusing prominent rightoid LibsOfTiktok, /r/TransTeachers managed to bait a sitting congresswoman of the United States House of Representatives, and /r/JusticeForDarrell even made it into a high-profile national court case. If even a single one of these happened last year they'd have won easily, but you miscreants have been up to so much no good this year that only one can be crowned the best gayop of 2022.

For bait operations where multiple users were involved in their planning and execution, the marseybux reward will be split amongst the most prominent ringleaders and contributors. Here's my own personal list of nominations for this award:

Lolcow of the Year (rDrama)

After CWC was a little unfairly robbed of the Best Lolcow award last year (he fricked his own elderly mother for crying out loud!), I decided to split the honors this year into two separate categories: home-grown lolcows, and lolcows raised off the ranch - especially since we have no shortage of exceptional individuals for both. No special award for this one since most candidates tend to make a new account every week, and have been or are likely in the near future to be mopped by the council of jannies due to their erratic mentally ill tendencies. But hey, at least you'll have made your mark in rDrama history!
