Idc about body type personally I was using it as an example of the double standard. I've dated women of all sizes and statures, I think my frustration with her comes from a few friends of mine who are shorter and run into girls who even though they are shorter than them, they still say they are too short and they vent to me about it and these are some legit good dudes! The issue is, certain groups of people are expected to not have preferences while others aren't. I'll even add the my comment. I agree and I also get really annoyed when someone uses the bigger girl comparison. I'm a woman who's 5'5 and a US size 16. I'd never call someone shallow for not wanting to date me. Dating is inherently discriminatory—they have preferences and so do I. I'd never want to go out with someone who was forcing themselves to be attracted to me. Everyone deserves a partner they're attracted to and that's attracted to them.The difference is that people can accurately judge my size from photos (assuming I upload full body pics, which I do), but you can't judge someone's height from a picture of them. Sorry but I have to disagree with this. People would be able to accurately judge the size of the person in that photo but they have no guarantee other than your word that is how you currently look or if it's even you.The picture could be of you ten years ago or of someone else, you could be lying. It is no difference to the potential of a man lying about his height. I have zero experience with dating apps so I don't know if it is ok for someone to straight up ask "how old is this pic", "are you still the same weight as this pic" or "is that you in this pic." Or is it considered rude to do so?
