i'm at my big firm corporate girlboss job and one of my coworkers said something about grad school - i missed a deadline last month, guess that's a sore spot for me - and i just started crying. tried to hold it in but all i managed were tears silently sliding down my face. had to slip out after a minute when it didn't stop.

literally been slinking around the office and hiding in the bathroom for an hour trying to stop crying. once, i thought i was in the clear, but when i put my hand on the doorknob to the meeting room it started up again.

One of my CDs matures next week. It was a 6-month, 4.90%.

I hate it I hate it I hate it. 90% of our student body relies on it to complete their work. There is near to no originality in their writing and work. We are nearing complete dependence on it from some students. AI checkers work sometimes but students just use AI then switch the words around to avoid this.

I know the upside that it has for us as a society, but we are losing creativity and gumption with every improvement. I hurt for them. I used to read beautiful student writing and didn't have to question if it was written by a program. Now I am forced into skepticism. How can we lose so much with advancement?

Don't mean that in an offensive way, but shouldn't you try to avoid buying something you already expect to be a scam?The Shop earned money with a scam while Aliexpress lost it for the refund.

Common sense kinda tells us what to buy and what not to buy. I was never disappointed.

So think of it this way: my experience incentivized AliExpress to police the scammers better.

For past 2 years no news has caused market to react negative or positive. Thn came Trump s love for Tariffs.

I lost 230k in past 3 weeks because of market reacting to the tariffs news in absolute shit way.

2 weeks I lost on calls that were printing solid green until he said tariffs on mexico and canada. 130k went out the window in just an hour or two.

Yesterday, the market welcomed shit CPI, PPI and tariff news with ATH. 100k went out the window on puts.

I'm super lost now. I followed the fundamentals and had all the alerts setup right. You might say, what about stop loss but even with that the loss is just absolute heartbreaking.

EDIT: I understand its my mistake. I am not posting this on WSB for points. THis sub has some solid tips that i had read and implemented before. Really just want some guidance to how to deal with this and make sure i dont repeat the same mistake again. I can earn the money back with my 9-5 and side hustles. I am not denying my stupidity but at the same time I am not happy with the fact that same news and terrible reports from CPI, PPI and tariffs still caused market to go up. It simply didnt make sense.
