"We're looking for moderators to help out in the run-up to the November elections in the USA.
Primarily we're looking for people who are able to read the comments in posts and spot violent threats -
This subreddit is dedicated to discussion of terrorism as carried out by conservatives, and because of signals we have from people inside conservative propaganda groups and other violent extremist groups, this year they're trying extra hard to manufacture a false appearance of violent sentiment amongst progressives, Democratic voters, etc.
This is expected of terrorists, whose methods are to use violence and violent threats against one group or person, to persuade another group or person to do something the terrorists want.
And they want people to abandon voting, abandon voting Democratic, and vote for Trump / GOP candidates instead.
Needless to say, calls to violence in this subreddit are an immediate, unqualified permanent ban, no matter what they claim their motive is for making the call to violence.
Being familiar with the Reddit Sitewide Rules (https://reddit.com/rules) is a must (specifically Rule 1), and being familiar with our subreddit rules (https://old.reddit.com/r/conservativeterrorism/about/rules/) is a bonus. The more you can field, the better.
We are asking for applicants with at least 3 months of participation in the subreddit - moderating related subreddits is a help. Familiarity with the Reddit Moderator Code of Conduct is a very big bonus; we don't accept posts about other subreddits or reddit users.
If you choose to step up to wielding the banhammer, we have a standard ban message with a ban appeals process we refer banned users to, which makes ban appeals zero-stress.
If you want to apply, modmail us
(Comments locked because applications and inquiries must be made to modmail)"

:
I would be glad to know which concurring opinion you had in mind when stating that the signatory/ies has a poor understanding of how Reddit works.
IANAL IANYL ATINLA and I'm not Reddit's lawyer. This is just me, griping —
I read the Texas law, TXHB20, when it was proposed and when it was adopted.
https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/872/billtext/html/HB00020F.htm
It has a section, Section 8, which I call the Hydra.
Section 8. (a) … it is the intent of the legislature that every provision, section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this Act, and every application of the provisions in this Act, are severable from each other.
>> (b) If any application of any provision in this Act to any person, group of persons, or circumstances is found by a court to be invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining applications of that provision to all other persons and circumstances shall be severed and may not be affected. All constitutionally valid applications of this Act shall be severed from any applications that a court finds to be invalid, leaving the valid applications in force, because it is the legislature's intent and priority that the valid applications be allowed to stand alone.
Etc, etc. it has many other clauses in that section all to the effect of "if a court leaves so much as an atom of this law in place, we intend to use it, now and in the future".
IMO it's the real payload of the bill, and it's a definitive signal that they will not give up on this power grab until it's entirely disallowed.
That's what that section says: They're not throwing in the towel on this. Ever.

Maybe after Donald launches the nukes that destroy civilisation, the next sentient species that colonises this planet can produce humans who don't try clumsily to defend the "right" of someone to advocate for mass murder under the guise of "He's just saying …"
