In anticipation of the imminent Marsey's Palace casino update, here are some new badges. They apply retroactively, so if you've already earned them, you're good to go! If not, better get goombling.

Lil Goombler - Won a 1,000 dramacoin bet. Nice job!

Pro Goombler - Won a 10,000 dramacoin bet. Some would say to quit while you're ahead, but they didn't just win 10k - keep at it!

King Goombler - Won a 100,000 dramacoin bet. Wipe your sweaty palms off and bet it all again, you're on a roll!

A Minor Setback - Lost a 1,000 dramacoin bet. Keep going!

Just One More Hand - Lost a 10,000 dramacoin bet. But it's fine, you're due for a big win!

It's Over - Lost a 100,000 dramacoin bet. It's fricking over.

They'll be applied once Snakes or Cox adds the logic for them. The Casino itself will be rolling out soon. Might make game-specific badges if they're gonna add new games too.

i) You may have received a notification about an Alpha or Beta badge. Everyone who registered before July 4th (the day the motherland was hit with Incredibly Serious Sanctions) has been given the Alpha User badge. July 4th to some date in August has the Beta badge. If you joined after that, you don't get SHIT.

ii) We're nearing what is unironically the most wonderful time of the year, so it's time to make some Christmas (or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or New Years, or...happy wintry I guess) Marseys You have until 12/25 at 23:59:59 to get these in. Go ahead and make a thread with your work as always if you want, but be sure to also post it in the megathread and @ me so I can give you the badge.

New emoji modal implementation just dropped like 10 hours ago, I am sure some burgers noticed. What changed?

• now you can select options to make the emoji larger, mirrored or patted directly in the modal

• better search performance: logarithmic time complexity in exchange of linear space complexity in the numbers of tags per emoji

• better render performance, every time you make a search or change tab it won't re-generate the whole DOM from scratch; although there's still room for improvement

• if you hover over an emoji you'll get some infos

• emoji modal is well behaved, it won't try to overwrite a selection without your consent

• emoji modal will let you know when your search query results in an empty set 💅

• backend: now it is possible to add tags to non-marsey emojis

We’re actually going to be doing stuff with Houses in the nearish future. Geese was supposed to make the House-specific awards I came up with MONTHS AGO but after he accepted it a couple weeks ago he vanished so that’s now on the backburner, sometime after the chat upgrades, hats (lol), and optional Sorting for new accounts.

Anyway while I have your attention, since @Saint_Nicholas claims that this

was confusing and unclear, I will now walk you through adding hidden Holes to your main feed. These are /h/Chudrama (5k truescore requirement), /h/braincels and /h/smuggies.

Let’s use Chudrama as an example.

1. Visit /h/Chudrama. You can do that without a link by just typing https://rdrama.net/h/Chudrama. Or, you can access it from the master list of Holes: https://rdrama.net/holes

2. Look at this yellow-highlighted bit:

1. If done correctly, it will then change to this:

1. Chudrama posts will now appear in New and Trending for you. Well done.

Before continuing with this post, I would like to assure everyone that CARP ABSOLUTELY IS not HOLDING ME AT GUNPOINT. Any concerns for my well-being are entirely unnecessary and misplaced. I am merely a humble codecel doing his humble job. I AM not UNDER DURESS.

As many of you know, the vile @idio3 recently thoughtlessly stole Carp's GVLDVN MARSEY from his flair. This not only caused more trouble than you can possibly imagine for the codecels who had to clean up the ensuing mess, but it brought our dearest and most beloved @carpathianflorist to the verge of despair and despondency.

There exist three ways flairs are changed at present. This patch modifies them for Carp in particular as follows:

• User Settings: this method remains unchanged. He can do whatever he darn well pleases with his own flair.

• Flairlock: if his deflector ever does happen to go down, flairlocks applied to Carp will disappear into the void rather than have any effect on anyone.

• Admin Tools: other admins can no longer edit Carp's flair. Yes, this makes him better than the other admins as far as the code is concerned.

Fuller minor patch notes about other, unrelated recent changes will be forthcoming in the next few days. Right now I am simply overjoyed to have been able to help Carp through his time of hardship.
