  • ACA : she should try Philly's spreadable cream cheese

I went to my Dr. recently. I said I had been watching what I eat, and she said, off the cuff, "not closely enough".

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16845863306186118.webp

I did a double take and laughed uncomfortably. I have been eating nothing but hard boiled eggs and slices of cheese since. It just dawned on me that I haven't eaten anything in 2 days. Welcome back ED! 😁

Look chud, either I stay obese or I fast in the desert for 40 days. Now look what you made me do! :marseyskeleton2:

hard boiled eggs and slices of cheese

also what

I went to the doctor recently and had gained some weight after a really emotional rough year. The nurse took my weight, didn’t tell me what it was, and said “the scales says you’re gorgeous!” And then my doctor didn’t make a big fuss about it and instead relied on actual health metrics like how I feel, blood pressure, and blood work to determine her assessment. You are not the problem. It’s your doctor. It’s this shitty societal norm to have to comment and emphasize other peoples bodies and choices. Please get help. You got this miss girl.

A REAL doctor would never tell me to quit smoking. :marseyindignant:

If that woman doesn't like your body, be the opposite of her. Love the shit out of your body! Spend your next day off pampering your body to signify how much it's actually worth. Nourish your body. Relax into your body. Rub your fanciest lotion into your skin. Wear your most flattering perfume. Cook or order in your favorite meal to show your body you want it to be soft, strong, and healthy. Frick her, your body deserves the best!

"Mommy why does that hippopotamus smell so nice?" :marseywhirlyhat:

This makes me mad and makes me recall why we want low body weight removed from AN criteria.

I will work with people with severe and enduring eating disorders and most have AN but no longer have the low body weight, but they still restrict their eating massively. :marseyhmm:

Please look for a trauma informed doctor

:soyreddit: "NOOO!!!!! STOP DIETING!!! Don't you know it would be dangerous if you were skinny instead of 300 pounds?!!"

I honestly don't know how to search for someone who specializes in trauma. Wtf do I even begin? I honestly had no idea that existed

Google search "trauma informed pcp" and the name of your city or your zip code. Then see if any of the practices that come up are in your insurance network. Good luck!

"I'm sorry, ma'am, I'm afraid the tests came back positive for.... STUNNING and BEAUTIFUL!" :marseysoylentgrin:

Shit lords IN IN IN! Fatties posting about times they got stuck in furniture

It happened.

I got stuck in a chair yesterday. And to make matters worse, I was all alone (isolating on Christmas to avoid covid.) I was stuck for a good 30 minutes and honestly debated calling the fire department. Eventually I was able to get myself out but needless to say I will be getting rid of my chair that has arms on it.

Anyway, I'm not exactly sure why I'm posting this, I guess just that I was really scared while I was stuck in there and wanted to release that feeling.

In Pittsburgh, Jordan Jones said she felt optimistic about her weight struggles when she heard about Ozempic. Then she found out her insurer wouldn't cover the medication for off-label use.

Her boyfriend is now working 12-hour shifts four days a week to pay for her $800 monthly supply. The couple is also cutting back on eating out, gas, groceries and alcohol, she said.

>Dont want to work out for an hour a day to lose weight

>Make husband work 12 hour shifts instead

Remember most who go on ozempic tend to regain most of their weight back:

Unfortunately the janny menace got to it before there was much drama :#marseyitsover: although it's doesn't appear to be locked yet in case any :m#arseyrapscallion: want to add their 5 cents.

Huh, this is super interesting. They mention an intuitive eating influencer, Lindsay Pleskot, being paid off by the sugar industry.

:#platythink:

I'm glad to see this posted here. I really enjoy MP, think that the hosts are great etc, but they are weirdly quiet when it comes to the influence of mainstream convenience food companies...

"Just admit you hate fat people" is the catchphrase. Fast food companies obviously don't hate fat people, so there's no problem.

:#soyjakanimeglasses::#soyjakferal::#soyjakcobson:

So, my partner's a HAES dietitian. She had to prepare her clients for this article, because it's a problem.

Yes, there's too much money influencing influencers. Absolutely a problem. But everyone mentioned in this article is somewhere in the HAES, body liberation, etc world. They don't mention dietitians that take money from Noom or WW or other diet companies. Which feels fricked up, since I'd bet there's WAY more diet industry money in dietetics than there is food company money.

:#soycry:

this article pissed me off. there is no nuance. i follow one of the RDs who made a sponsored aspartame post and the other things she promotes are things like salmon, grapefruit, and sausage, ffs, and is always SUPER clear about what posts are ads. if anything this is a reminder to be media literate, make sure you read the caption, think critically, but also a lot of these dieticians provide excellent content -- are we supposed to just have them do that for free?!

:#soymad:

Yup! My partner actually knows that RD fairly well. She turns down sponsorship opportunities daily because she doesn't believe in them

:#platybruh:

"I'd bet there's WAY more diet industry money in dietetics than there is food company money."

I'm curious about that. Is that a blind bet or do you have some insight? The food companies absolutely SWAMP the diet industry on every other spending metric.

Why :marseyconfused2: is there a height :marseylongsurfing: filter but no weight filter :marseychonkerfoid: on dating apps :marseyappicon:?

Because weight doesn't define health.

:#soyreddittalking:

A weight preference is not wrong. But there is a faction that is very LOUD that are trying to convince everyone that a weight preference is wrong. Those people need to shut the heck up.

You aren't a BBW. You are obese.

This causes a :marseysneed: storm.

Lots of healthy women's weight can vary by 20 lbs depending on the time of day and where she is in her cycle. Mine always has, and that is one reason I had to stop weighing myself everyday and just stick to weighing myself at the same point in my cycle at the same time of day in order to have a better idea for if I was gaining or losing weight or maintaining. So you could end up with situations where men claimed a woman lied about her weight when she really didn't.

Not only that, but lots of women just wouldn't put their weight into a dating app, so it would be a bit self defeating.

Sorry that chubby ladies offend you so much.

:#marseychonkerfoidpuketalking:

A weight filter would serve no purpose. People carry weight differently. A body shape filter would make more sense.

Edit: A lot of people could easily just lie, too.

Drama

How rude! She is a beautiful woman with a gorgeous body and an amazing talent. If you can't appreciate that you should really not post. It makes you look really bad.

It makes her look bad cause that’s what people made bad. Tbh Lizzo wil probably die at a young age because of her size, but people these days say that being fat is beautiful, wich it isn’t. It’s dangerous for your health that’s what it is

Tbh I'd rather die young, fat, and happy than thin, old, and miserable. It's a judgment even from your standpoint of supposed concern for her health. People saying bones showing is beautiful is just as damaging and unhealthy, yet it's what we've defined as "goal beauty". You're simply taking the health angle as you think it'd okay to br offensive if you mask it below health concerns. Life is too short for judging others.

Alright chud pick your lifestyle

:!#marseysad::!#marseychonker2::!#marseyanorexia:

lol

she’s gorgeous i don’t understand all the hate. people are mad that she’s successful

You look just like her

I understand the hate for Lizzo is too much but .. your weight most definitely DOES correlate to your fitness and how well you’re eating… there might be some exceptions to the rule because of medical reasons but your tweet makes zero senses

It is MUCH more complicated than that. In order to lose weight you have to starve yourself. Being active and fit does not make you magically drop weight, it is calories in calories out and the amount you have cut to lose weight depends on SO many things.

Also correlation does not equal causation. It’s not as black and white as people like to portray online.

CORRELATION DOES NOT EQUAL CAUSATION

I worked in a pharmacy in Germany serving Americans (aka fats) from 2008-2010. Fat, American veterans were my most common patients and as such we had a lot of diabetics. Being a pharmacy owned by the government we sometimes did drug trials. A comically large Type 2 diabetic I'd been serving for years :marseychonker2: brought me a medication for semaglutide (our hero, ozemspic). We knew it was coming as we had received the shiny drug trial medication earlier that week.

We hand him the 4 auto injectors for his once weekly doses, the pharmacist goes over some side effects and what to look out for and we send him on his way. To return next month for his next 4 injectors.

Drug trials were fairly rare and I still thought medicine was cool back then so I did a bit of research and the drug sounded cool. It was made by studying Gila monsters. Something about their saliva being a poison to help them hunt or some shit. Idk it's been years.

But the main take away is that in 999% of cases type 2 diabetics ate themselves to that point. :nikocadoavocadodance::nikocadoavocadodance2::nikocadoavocadodance:

If a TD2 will lose weight they really aren't fricking diabetic anymore. (as evidenced in an unrelated medical study where hookworms can cure them too, not enough willpower to quit eating so the hookworms will do the digesting while you keep goyslopping)(https://science.slashdot.org/story/23/08/22/230234/hookworms-successfully-prevent-type-2-diabetes-in-human-trial) Well semaglutide makes people lose weight nearly 100% of the time. It makes you have no appetite. You almost have to force yourself to eat.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16934488590102074.webp

Well when next month came I barely even recognized him. :marseythinkorino2: Our heroic fat had lost 39 pounds. THIRTY NINE FRICKING POUNDS. Over the next six months, he dropped over 120 pounds. Not changing his shopping, or restaurant visits. Only taking ozemspic and just EATING less because he wasn't hungry. He didn't even realize it was his eating less that made him lose it and his understanding was that the drug was doing a version of lips almost lmao

in 2019 it got approved as a weightless drug. In 2020 it was the 129th most prescribed drug. in 2022 it was the 7th.

it changed the fricking economy of denmark

Poor uses $400 in food stamps in 1 week (for a 1 person household)

I received 400 in food stamps and ran through it all in one week.

Within the first week of the month. And somehow it feels like I didn't even buy anything. There's nothing in my fridge to eat. I'm literally trying to figure out what did I even buy. I won't get stamps again until next month. I don't really know how to cook so I got a lot of frozen pizzas and stuff and it's all gone already. I feel like such a fool and like I wasted 400 dollars for ONE freaking person. What is wrong with me do I just suck badly at grocery shopping and budgeting?

people keep saying stuff like this, but im entitled to be in a relationship with someone im attracted to, like everyone is

but im entitled

Cool, cool, cool.

Definitely found the problem.

My man, you're not entitled to anything about another person. Not a darn thing.

:#marseyscooter: :#marseyrage:

Sounds like she needs to lose the dead weight (I'm talking about you OP). Cringie and gross.

:#marseyobesescale:

Wow, it sounds like she is getting the better end of this deal.

maybe, but honestly I dont care, i wrote this in my car before another meeting with my divorce lawyer, and I havent been this happy in a year and a half, i hated people seeing me in public with my wife, and im glad thatll be coming to an end

You probably never would have lasted with her if she had children with you. She also would have out on weight and you would have been the same shallow bastard for it. There little doubt in my mind that you never loved this woman.

ah, yes the pregnancy cope. as some other fat redditor's husband said a while ago:

>it's not pregnancy weight when the baby's two years old

At first, I thought you were a jerk. Now, I back your decision 100%. She doesn't work, doesn't cook, doesn't clean, and it seems she has no respect for herself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not wanting to be with someone who doesn't care about themselves. You do have the right to be with someone you're attracted to. Yes, looks fade and people age, but that's even more reason to take care of yourself.

The woman sounds absolutely depressed to me. I guess OP wouldn’t have noticed beyond the far rolls. He has the right to divorce her but I wish they actually got her counselling first.

I gained 10 pounds since my chronic pain started and feel horrible in my body. I went through a period of depression. The only thing I’m thankful for is my husband asked to marry me AFTER the pain started, to care for me and put me on his better insurance. If he had married me at my best and then ignored me in bed I’d feel so bad.

Doubling in weight is not 10 lbs 😑

:#marseyagreefast:

I don’t see this as a problem. I would never try to initiate a relationship or approach a woman who is fat and ugly

Then don't get married. Appearances change and people age.

:#soycry:

Plot twist, she’ll be happy to be rid of the vain. Little boy she married. Will likely lose weight after the divorce and find happiness. Meanwhile, OP, still marrying for looks, ends up on marriage #6, still dies alone.

[Developing] r/PlusSize - Husband secret hates fat “people”

Husband secretly hates “fat” people

Hello , I’ve been married for 5 years I got married very young…when I first got married I weighed 180lbs I was considered obese but honestly I was happy with my body. I’ve always been a plus size person like no matter how much weight I lose that’s just how my body carry’s the weight. Saying that when I met my husband and I found out about the girls he used to date I was confused as to how he’s was interested in me. All the girls he would date are tall, thin and tan me on the other hand I’m short , thick and pale. That should have been my first red flag. So after we got married I gained a little weight and went up too 205lbs I was still happy with my self until one day we got in a fight and he called me “fat” fyi I hate that word. That was the worst feeling ever having someone I loved call me fat. I got so mad and completely degraded him and called him every bad word I could think of and also made fun of his insecurities. Needless to say it was the last time he would ever call me something like that. A year later we have a baby and that’s when my weight really skyrocketed and I gained 50lbs. This is when my husband started acting weird. Sometimes when a plus size person walks by us he’ll make a rude comment or if he has a family member who is plus size he’ll be rude about their weight. Sometimes when I’m scrolling through Instagram, and there is a video of someone being made fun of for being plus sized his like will be under the post. And also recently, my daughter has been calling me fat and saying I have a big stomach because I eat to much, when I ask her who told her that she’ll say that it was her dad but I don’t know if she’s telling me the truth or because she’s a kid she just comes up with those things.. I can tell that he’s no longer even remotely attracted to me anymore. But it pisses me off more than anything because he met me like this. I’ve always been a plus size I’ve always been considered chubby. Also, I’ve had his family members make rude comments about my weight and he never defends me. I don’t know I just wanted to rant about this. See if anyone else has had something similar happened to them or have experienced this. And yes if things continue like this, I will definitely leave this marriage.

Also I have gone through various weight, loss journeys, and every time I try to lose weight, he never supports me it’s like he always tries to sabotage me losing weight which confuses me even further. Sometimes I think that he wants me to be overweight because he knows how insecure I am I don’t know it’s just very confusing. I do want to lose weight because my health has been declining because of my weight gain but I don’t want to lose weight for him or make him think that I’m doing it for him in anyway so sometimes that also stops me from losing weight.

Why is this such a popular topic on this sub? Are there really so many losers out there who want to spend their time complaining about fat people? Get a life.

https://old.reddit.com/r/TrueUnpopularOpinion/comments/15uuox1/fat_acceptance_is_some_clown_world_bs/jwrvgr3/?sort=controversial

So here's the thing: the world doesn't revolve around you, and humanity has no obligation to change themselves for you.

A lot of weight stuff is genetic, and a lot of fat people are healthier than you or I are. You don't want to frick fat people? Totally fine, but judging folks for it is the real clown world. I'm sure fat people wouldn't touch you, either. Being judgemental about people is less attractive than being fat.

The way you singled out women as if men can't get fat.

We get it, you hate fat people. It's not a groundbreaking opinion because a lot of people hate fat people.

The body acceptance movement was made to tell people to just shut the frick up about the bodies of others.

Not an unpopular opinion. But… there might be a high correlation between men who judge every woman on their size/unsightliness and the men whining about being single and not finding dates.

https://old.reddit.com/r/TrueUnpopularOpinion/comments/15uuox1/fat_acceptance_is_some_clown_world_bs/jws3k29/?sort=controversial

Why is this aimed at just women? lmao EDIT: y'all I know why, just pointing out how shitty some of y'all talk about women, thanks for the point proven even though it was really directed at OP lol!

Yeah I think the body positivity movement is toxic af. I like body neutrality. Like “yes this is my body and I'm allowed to love myself, I should also strive to have a healthy body.”

That being said people do in fact have conditions that make fat loss harder. Not impossible but hard for sure.

This just in: fat people eat more which is why they’re fat. If you’re comfortable with eating a lot and being fat then there’s nothing wrong with this.

That's not the only reason why people are fat. Some fat people have metabolic disorders. Some fat people live in food deserts. Some fat people have gut microbiomes that contribute to the problem. Some fat people do overeat. It's not a simple issue and making it out to be one is disingenuous. [-5]

This comment section is disgusting. There are many factors that contribute to weight gain, even more so for women. Obesity isn’t as simple as calories in, calories out. This is some ignorant BS right here. She could eat regular healthy meals and still have weight issues. That comment is soooo out of line.

And telling someone they deserve to be ridiculed for their appearance because they ‘put themselves out there’?! You mean overweight and obese individuals disgust you and you don’t want to see them so they should hide themselves away from the public. If they have to go out in public should cover themselves so other people don’t have to see it. What a disgusting mindset. You’re shaming people for their bodies. Could you be any more immature?! As a medical professional I must say, if looking at someone else’s body disgusts you, that’s a YOU problem. Fat people should be allowed to lead normal lives, go out in public, wear swim suits etc without others shaming them for their appearance. This is just a bad excuse for being nasty and hurtful to others.

This goes for disabled persons as well.

You people need a serious paradigm shift. Someone’s weight is none of your business. Making jokes like this is NOT funny; it stereotypes and ridicules fat people.

I guarantee none of you are in a place to judge other people. Y’all need to work on your EQ. [:marseylongpost:]

I’m fat. It’s not healthy and I’m trying to do something about it. I don’t mind some fat women, especially black women can be sexy when fat. Lizzo is an exception. [-16]

Here he is pre gigabrapping out looking like neurodivergent Robocop

Like I said, he caused a lot sneething by entering women's races and placing. In one race, the jealous biofoids refused to acknowledge him on the podium and this caused him to have a temper tantrum and storm off.

He caused sneethe when he Twitter posted a dancing skeleton at a graveyard the day Queen TERF Magdalen Berns died

He was a Philosophy teacher at College of Charlseton and was such a nuisance and :marseyantiwork: they gave him a few thousand to frick off so they didn't have to give him tenure. He was constantly sneeding on twitter about his employee and coworkers

He's just an angry prick to everyone in general. He is incredibly dramatic and mad all the time, so here is the KF link - https://sneed.today/threads/dr-rachel-mckinnon-dr-veronica-ivy-rhys-mckinnon-rachel-veronica-mckinnon-foxy-moxy-sportisaright.49422/ :marseypopcorntime:

Fatphobia in viral country song "Rich Men North of Richmond" CW

I don't know if you guys have seen/heard it yet but over the weekend a country/bluegrass song blew up, in a similar manner to 'Try that in a small town' a few weeks ago.

Conservative media are calling it "the voice of a generation" "what everybody's thinking but too scared to say" and even some so-called leftists are claiming the song is class conscious. To me, it just looks like a blatant astroturf campaign.

Here's the segment of lyrics that made me despair:

>I wish politicians would look out for miners,

And not just minors on an island somewhere

>Lord, we got folks in the street, ain't got nothin' to eat

>And the obese milkin' welfare

>Well, God, if you're 5-foot-3 and you're 300 pounds

>Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds

Yeah, so class conscious, punching down on fat women and welfare recipients... while claiming to care about homelessness!?

I'm bigger than the weight reeled off. I'm just angry and tired of being dehumanized, having people celebrate these tropes; we're lazy, drains on society, binging fudge rounds on the taxpayers dime, etc.

Not to mention the dismissiveness towards child sexual abuse?? Seeing online commentators who really should know better promoting this song, it just sucks. I'm so very tired y'all. Do you guys have anything you'd like to add?

I'm a 30 year old woman and as I got to my late 20s I realized that if I want to be thin (like average/healthy thin, not super skinny, just not fat) I have to pay attention to what I eat pretty much every single day, all day long. I'm always hungry and up for eating snacks so 24/7 I have to be vigilent and make sure I'm not eating too much.

I cook nearly all my meals and it's mostly vegetarian food and limited oil/sugar, I don't drink soda ever, I never eat fast food, I eat junk food occasionally (probably once per week I make a bad decision like eating a bag of crisps), I do drink alcohol but not a crazy amount. I could easily eat like 3x the portion sizes of what I'm supposed to have for each meal, like it might be tofu and rice and veggies but I could eat a lot of it.

Is this just what it will be like for the rest of my life? I have to stay vigilent and think about what I'm eating every day 24/7 or be overweight? Are the thin people around me having to be careful with everything they eat every day and that's how they stay thin?

Edit: It would be useful to know if people responding are men or women as it might be quite different

>active in /r/Judaism

Maybe women have to watch out more, maybe she overestimates yoga calories burnt or calories eaten, I don't know if jew food is bad

here's some comments

I think about what I eat all the time and I'm fat and old.

Edit. Never thought anyone would even notice this comment. 1. I'm fairly active and do exercise, though very limited due to wear and tear.

2. I was a chef for 12 years, and I refuse to eat crap. Most high-end food is actually healthier for you anyway. But one should still try to have a balanced healthy diet.

3. Thank you all who have extended feeling similar. It's feels good to know you're not the only one.

oh wow :marseymindblown:

he's just active, but you just get old and all. Wonder what he did???

I, too, have been fairly active all my life, but it never changes that I have a very wide frame and put weight (muscle and fat) on easily. Even now, in my 40s, my legs are f*cked, but I still put in an hour of exercise bike in 4 days a week. At my lightest in college, I was a walk on football linebacker at 228lbs (smallest and slowest). I boxed throughout my 20s at 335 lbs. I'm 44 bench 300 lb because my shoulders can't do more and, as mentioned, the bike.

But don't miss understand I'm 315 lbs at 6ft. I've got muscle but there's a lot of fat too.

>335 in his 20's

>old at 44, 315lbs at 6ft

at least he stays active, in /r/swingers and /r/bdsmcommunity :marseygiggle:
