This is my (19M) first semester of college. I have my own bedroom but share a bathroom with another suitemate (M). He seems very introverted as he has never talked to me even when I try to start a conversation. I say this because I have no idea if I should bring up the terrible smell he radiates. I think it could be a yeast infection but I'm not sure. He stinks up the bathroom so badly I will not even use it. If you are within a couple feet of him you can smell the strong odor. I don't know what to do. I am paranoid he is going to make me and my belongings smell, too, and I don't want to spend the entire semester going to the rec center to use the bathroom in attempt to avoid the smell. I'm new to college, so I am not sure if these things are common. I would love to hear some recommendations. It is really awkward because this kid will not even talk to me, so bringing up how bad he smells sounds like a terrible way to start things off.

Apparently he doesn't "see" tasks that don't create dopamine - which, seemingly, cleaning up his urine, putting the stacks of dirty dishes in the kitchen in the dishwasher, cleaning away the food he leaves all over the kitchen surfaces, and not stealing my or my parents liquor just don't produce. It is all symptomatic of a lack of respect but apparently it's actually because of his ADHD, which he's been medicated for for at least a year now (for what purpose if it helps so little?). My parents are at their wits end because he just doesn't listen or care, and my mum just says ADHD presents differently in boys than girls when I highlight that I've had (female) housemates with ADHD before and they were never anywhere near this bad. I think deep down, they know it's just an excuse for him, but mum in particular struggles to accept this.

I've encountered so many male humans who just want to be owned or pushed. I would make jokes that men belong in cages or that I want to torture them and immediately I get men attached to me.
