'Cathedral you r-slur, I'm not reading all that'

Some choice quotes:

Yes, I, a Frenchman, believe that British cuisine is unfairly maligned

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16998976942143395.webp

thanks to post-war Beveridgian socialism, Britain had food rationing for longer than any other Western European country. The reason those awful tinned beans feature so prominently in British pub food is because for decades they had little else.

See? We were subject to decades of pinko commie scum leadership, it's not our fault :marseyindignant: if it wasn't for Tony Blair you'd be sucking us off over some mid bread like you do with italians

anyway this perfidious frog goes on to just fellate his own culture for two paragraphs and then he says

The first point is that British cuisine is really good. Britain produces great produce, and it has great peasant traditions that have produced excellent dishes such as pies, roasts, and so on. The lack of a tradition of high refinement and clichés dating from Britain's era of post-war malaise should not obscure that fact.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16998976943365135.webp

And finally: the French and British are cousins. Friendly ribbing is all well and good, but in an era where the very survival of Western civilization is uncertain, recognizing our respective merits is more important. So, as a Frenchman I say, two and a half cheers for kidney pie and warm beer.

Thanks frenchie, here's my response

slop review: bezos brand energy drinks

ty @garlicdoors for bringing these to my attention

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16997135562079997.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/16997135566179855.webp

They were $15 for 12 and even though I don't really drink energy drinks at that price I had to try them. I have no idea what flavors these are supposed to be, the cans just label them as "white" and "red." I think the white is a Monster Zero knockoff, it doesn't have any discernible flavor. I think the red is supposed to be grapefruit. They're both overpowered by the sickly fake sugar sweetness you're probably familiar with if you drink zero sugar energy drinks.

Verdict: they're not any worse than your average gas station energy drink and at a little over a dollar per can the value is pretty good. I probably won't buy anymore but they were fun to try. They need to come out with a blue flavor :marseysaluteusa: for the America theme.

"Butter, Flour, Sugar, Joy."

Bangin' Chocolate :marseyhank: Cake with Peanut Butter Fluff Frosting

We need "wow" cake in our arsenals. We need a cake that's like, okay, yum! A cake worthy of a birthday :marseycake2: or a bar-becue, simple :marseysmug4: yet INCREDIBLE, a crowd-pleaser. If you like peanut butter and chocolate, you need this cake! If you feel like having fun with it, don't be afraid :marseyaaajumpscare: to chop up a few peanut butter cups to sprinkle on top.

egg bites

Adapted from @thACAsgiving 's recipe here: https://rdrama.net/h/peakpoors/post/217974/16-for-a-burger-fries-and/5319822#context

I made a few changes for my own tastes. I used pork sausage instead of ground turkey, skim milk instead of half and half (and not much of it at all), and I added chopped spinach for some greenery.

They look like shit lmao I didn't mix the eggs up enough so some of them have an egg white mucous sitting on top. Something I'll keep in mind for next time. I also had no idea what proportions of everything I'd need so I just guessed and ended up with way too much of everything except eggs. I just put all the leftovers into a pan and made a slop scramble :marseylickinglips:.

I'll definitely make them again, I just made the dozen here to try them out and get the proportions correct. In the future I'll make probably 2-3 times as much to freeze for easy breakfasts.
