Not really, but it was a great premise. There were still some great episodes here and there. His mom's funeral was a great scene on the serious side.

I'm disappointed there wasn't a scene where the deer mom tracks him down and is going to kill him and Bojack tells her “Okay, I understand you're rightfully mad and want to kill me, but think about this: everyone saw you coming here, so they'll know you killed me. There's an open bottle of Jack Daniels on that table and a bunch of sleeping pills in the drawer. I'm going to get take a shower and drink that bottle no matter what. If you want to kill me you can do it and no one will ever know. It's your decision.” He goes and showers and she's gone when he comes back. He pours the whiskey in a glass and drinks it. The show ends with him sitting on the couch being miserable but alive.

I think by the final season the amount of suffering he has to go through just became comical.

I liked that he was just a shitty person and couldn't get out of his own way. Then the ending left it up to "maybe he'll change but probably not". Most stories end with "and then everything was good forever" so it's a cool change.

But if I hear some limp-wrist regurgitate the red flags line one more time, I'm going to walk into traffic.

you're meant to side with her in her relationship but what actually happens with mr pb is

• she starts fricking him because he's hot and rich

• she sponges off his money to pay for her to frick around with her fake career, uses his connections to get clients

• she deliberately tries to frick his career for attention despite him being the only breadwinner

• she cheats on him

• she is toxic, cruel, bullying and aggressive to him at every moment of their life

• he constantly tries to show her he loves her and she attacks him for it

• she lies to him and pretends to be in africa while living at her side piece's house (also a rich hollywood guy she can sponge off)

• they finally break up when he tries to give her the library she TOLD HIM SHE ALWAYS WANTED, which is apparently some sort of toxic or evil thing to do

also we're meant to hate her family but they were completely right about her, she was an entitled, stuck-up b-word who clearly had no love or respect for them

Always cracks me up when a writer creates a self-insert character who accidently is a piece of shit. They totally expose themselves when they do that and it's so funny
