The Whale - TLC show but moody
The Flordia Project - TLC show but tropical
This shit sucks. Have A24 made anything of the same quality of everything everywhere?

I would only be excited for Raimi directing again.

Why does it feel like it was written by a film student who really liked Tarantino films?

I’m nearly caught up now and I actually don’t mind the new show at all.
Most of the criticism seems to be from ADHDcels who have no patience.
This is way better than that awful Hobbit series. The main elf lady might be overcompensating - thinking being a c*nt to people is how you act tough and ‘strong’, the way weak people always do. But the human dude she’s with is not bad.
The way every white male has an ugly black wife is really strange. Usually they always make every minority character have a minority wife’s but they are doubling down on race mixing here and ignoring any obvious implications like the way the kids or grandparents look.
But otherwise it’s been entertaining, it’s really not bad

I remember watching this back when futurology/singularity were still fun ideas. Watching it this time around was a lot funnier. Future woman's autism would've permanently blackpilled the poor girl if she were just a bit older.

The RLM guys liked it and I was eager to see Ben Sinclair ('Guy') in a full length movie, since I've followed High Maintenance from the beginning as a little independent web series on Vimeo. Not bad. They almost went overboard with the cringe humor but held it back. The second act had me wondering where it would lead so it kept my interest.
